@IgnatiusQuietus "This could be something." She walks over to the water's edge to wash it off. Genevieve is careful her fingers do not touch the water.
@IgnatiusQuietus Genevieve crouches by the hole she's dug, she paws at the dirt like a cat playing with the last remains of a mouse. Out of the hole comes a glass marble. Dirty, but still recognisable.
@IgnatiusQuietus "As if we're committing a crime they have to solve! Point a finger at and go 'ah-ha!'." Genevieve sighs.
She pokes her shoe into the hole she had dug, moving some mud around.
@IgnatiusQuietus "Things being broken is rarely a problem for me." She puts her hands on her hips. "You can only stay for so long before they start wondering. And that is not very long at all."
@IgnatiusQuietus "Why? I am aiming for a long time ago." She stops though, getting the feeling she's ruining his hobby.
"Perhaps I'll just observe you, learn first and do later." Genevieve lets the shovel stay upright in the ground. "That is why I look for more durable companions."
@IgnatiusQuietus "Well, it's inevitable..." Genevieve repeats the process with her shovel, very aggressively digging up large clumps of mud. "... when you live as long as we do." She puts hair out of her face and looks over at him. "Very emotional every time."
@IgnatiusQuietus "Have you ever found one of those 'time capsules'? Or made on yourself?" Genevieve sticks the shovel in the ground and jumps onto it to make it sink in.
@IgnatiusQuietus "Why not." Though she is extremely tempted to use her magic to try and find something worth digging up she resists. That is not the point of this. Genevieve walks around looking for a spot that feels good to sink her shovel into.
@IgnatiusQuietus "I suppose we just... keep on digging?" Genevieve looks up river. She's trying to work out what sort of things could have drifted this way.
@IgnatiusQuietus "Enemy is... well, while I don't see it that way it's possible she does." Genevieve actually looks surprised for a moment. "Yes. Hm. I quite enjoy rainstorms especially out in big fields. Earth and water. Nourishment. Life."
@IgnatiusQuietus Genevieve purses her lips. How to put it?
"I don't suppose I need to worry about sounding mad with someone like yourself. I assisted in an awakening of magic in a person who was IS deeply linked to the ocean. Goddess Sea did not like them having that defence against her."
@IgnatiusQuietus "I quite like tending to my roof top garden." Genevieve puts the coin in her pocket.
"I usually have such a strong connection with the earth, this activity really should suit me. Perhaps there is too much ocean involved. And I am afraid I may have upset the sea."
@IgnatiusQuietus "Of course. Just let me know." She can't help worrying for his friend, taking on the anxiety that must accompany the situation.
Genevieve snaps herself out of it and looks down at the coin again. "Next time, huh?" She chuckles. "I'll admit there are other things I'd rather do."
@IgnatiusQuietus "Would you like me to speak to this friend of yours? I wouldn't share anything too overwhelming. A gentle prod, test the waters."
Genevieve looks down at the coin.
"It's just a pound."
@IgnatiusQuietus "That could be possible, to see and speak with spirits without knowing they are spirits. Something unusual would need to happen to make this person aware. She..?" Genevieve looks down at the coin. Contact with her skin meant she could pull information from it but she doesn't.
@IgnatiusQuietus Genevieve has to think about that one. "I suppose they might, to some degree. The troubled spirits can find ways to make the known, it would depend on how perceptive the person is. Oh..?" She lifts her foot.
@IgnatiusQuietus "There are various protections that can be implemented. Nothing like crystals or such, that is all human scams. Some herbs can be used for incense. Generally a steady mind is the best deterrent."
@IgnatiusQuietus "It does, yes." Genevieve shakes her shoulders and arms, ridding herself of the mindset she had arrived there with. It had been wrong.
She turned her focus to listening to the land, watching the signs of the river's currant.
