.@Reddit CEO Steve Huffman on why authenticity stands out from AI-generated content:
"The sanitized, summarized, concise, sterile answer from AI causes people to appreciate Reddit more — the real, the messy, the multiple points of view."

Palantir: We have this software called Foundry, hope you like it
Microsoft: *releases a product called Foundry*
Alex Karp: You need to maintain the sovereignty of your business. Don't give up your alpha by giving away your data, you must own the weights of your business

It is unbelievable to me that this wasn’t a red card + penalty kick
Balogun was completely obstructed here and still hit the crossbar
He earned two PKs that weren’t called
This didn’t get VAR but an irrelevant midfield tangle led to a red card

“Like it or not, the expectation of individualization is very important and that’s different than personalization.”
Personalization = same message, different name.
Individualization = different message, built for you.
Most brands are still doing the first one and calling it the second.
Cannes hot take that held up all week:
CTR is quietly losing its grip.
3 completely separate conversations at Amazon, P&G, and ByteDance all landed independently on the same thing.
Engagement. Emotional resonance. Transactability.
When that many people arrive at the same place without comparing notes, it gets my attention.

A quote I keep coming back to:
“On the surface it looks like social media. But it’s not.”
— @redditspez, CEO @Reddit
It’s real people. Messy. Authenticated by community. And it turns out that’s exactly what LLMs can’t replicate.
In the AI era, human context is the scarcest asset.

I had hoped to take time off.
But some habits are hard to break.
As co-founder of Spaceback, I’m proud of what we built. And I love the people we built it with.
The journey was a beautiful one filled with some of the most challenging days and some of the most fulfilling ones at the same time.
But I find myself at that fork in the road. That decision point. My feet facing one way. My heart getting pulled in another direction.
So, it’s time for what is next.

It’s a small start to a larger vision.
But most importantly, it answers something I can’t ignore. I have to turn over more rocks, round more corners, pull more threads and uncover new opportunities.
So much new to learn. I’m a little scared, but also, I couldn’t be more excited.
If you’re thinking about where brand and AI intersect, I’d love to compare notes.
Kareem believes capitalism rewards risk more than hard work or skill.
He has a really unique way of defining risk and explains why most people never actually take any:
"Capitalism rewards risk more than anything else.
A lot of people think it's a meritocracy, but there are a lot of people working really hard and not making a lot of money.
It doesn't just reward skill either.
You can be eating a sword and not making as much as someone doing a YouTube video.
A lot of people think they're taking risks, but aren't taking real risks.
I talked to one founder who went to a good school, then YC, and he was telling me about his company.
He said, 'We serve sales, and we serve recruiting.'
I said, 'You have to pick one.'
That's where you're actually providing value –– in committing yourself to serving some group of people in some specific way.
My definition of risk is you need to genuinely not know what's going to happen, so you're going to discover something new. And it needs to be coupled with a high potential for shame.
That's when you can take real risk.
When you couple risk and courage, the next part is commitment. You actually need to follow through to see what ends up happening.
You can't just quit in the beginning."
