WE NEED YOUR HELP WITH PUBLICITY; THIS IS NO LONGER AN OUTCRY FOR ONE.
🔗Fill this and share with everyone you know https://t.co/GmkUG3vSOl (Our immediate goal is at least 10,000 signatures on the petition).
My original outcry was about ONE experience; my own experience with MTN and the depletion of my data allocation however the responses that followed opened the door to numerous other subscribers sharing concerns about their own experiences and that changed everything.
We are no longer seeking answers only for ONE. We are seeking to properly examine these concerns and demand accountability for ALL subscribers whose experiences are supported by evidence but we cannot do this effectively without you.
We need you to help us push this everywhere you can on X, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, your communities, groups and every legitimate publicity channel available to you.
Those signatures will demonstrate the breadth of public concern and strengthen our collective call for proper investigation and accountability.
We also need as much firsthand evidence as possible. If you have experienced unusual, unexplained or disputed MTN data depletion, please submit your details and supporting evidence through the evidence form.
PLEASE NOTE: Nobody needs to pay anything on the petition page. If you see an option asking for payment, DO NOT PAY. Simply choose the option to SHARE the petition.
We are not asking anyone to make allegations they cannot support. We are asking people to speak from their own experience, provide evidence where available, and help us establish the facts.
Now, let’s come together and demand answers for ALL.
10,000 signatures.
As much evidence as possible.
As much legitimate publicity as possible.
LETS DO THIS AS 1️⃣
“O you who believe! Stand firm for justice, as witnesses for Allah, even if it is against yourselves, or your parents, or your relatives. Whether one is rich or poor, Allah is more worthy of both. So do not follow your desires, lest you swerve from justice. And if you distort your testimony or refuse to give it, surely Allah is All-Aware of what you do.”
– Qur’an 4:135
If you like don’t do justice to people because of your loved ones!
Some days ago I saw a video on X of a woman who bought a box of milk half of which was fake. Week in week out we read stories of fake drugs, fake drinks and fake products from Nigerians warning other Nigerians.
This is good, but we need to do more than warn others. We need to report it to the authorities. A fake product is most likely bought from an outlet who likely got it from a vendor who likely got it from a distributor who got it from the manufacturer. If you report that outlet to the authorities, they are likely to be able to trace it to the vendor who can lead them to the distributor who can then lead them to the manufacturer.
For those who ask how do we do this? It's simple. There are channels already set up by NAFDAC for this.
1. You can call their Toll-free line or email them on - 0800-1-NAFDAC (0800-1-623322)
Direct complaint numbers:
+234 (0) 909-763-0506
+234 (0) 909-763-0507
Email:
[email protected][email protected].
2. Or you can just Walk-into the nearest NAFDAC office with a sample of the items and lodge your complaints.
3. SMS Reporting via PRASCOR.
NAFDAC has an SMS-based rapid alert system called PRASCOR (Pharmacovigilance Rapid Alert System for Consumer Reporting)
Send an SMS for free to: 20543 (on MTN, Glo, Airtel, or 9mobile)
Message should include the Product name, what happened and why you think it’s fake.
If and when you suspect a fake product,
- take photos or scans of the item and packaging
- Write down where you bought the item and when it was bought
- Note the Batch number or NAFDAC registration number (if visible)
- Evidence of harm (like a health issue after use, if applicable).
This will go a long way makes it easier for the authorities to investigate and stop the flow of the fake products in the market.
This is Treason!
1. Why are people not talking about it?
2. Can France try this on French people?
Signing a tax deal exposing your citizens personal tax info with a foreign nation is the highest level of national security breach.
Disastrous!
This tax issue ought to be trending number 1 right now, to even build the momentum of solid protest.
When that first tax deduction first hit una account & savings, everybody eye go blur
Read this slowly. It should make you uncomfortable.
The Nigerian tax law does not care that you are “just trying to survive.”
If money touched your account: salary, side hustle, freelance job, gifts, contributions, donations, appreciation, online payments, the law assumes it is taxable until YOU prove otherwise.
Not later.
Not when you’re ready.
Not when enforcement comes.
Now.
Let me show you the dangerous part most people are ignoring:
The burden of explanation is on you, not the government.
If you cannot explain:
– why you received the money
– what category it falls under
– whether tax was already paid
– or whether an exemption applies
Then by default, it becomes assessable income.
That’s not opinion.
That’s how the tax law was written.
That ₦200k “gift”?
That side hustle?
That random inflow from a friend?
That church honorarium?
That online payment you didn’t document?
The law doesn’t care what you called it.
It only cares why it touched your account.
And if you can’t explain it properly, it becomes taxable income by default.
This is the part nobody is shouting about.
The law quietly shifts the burden:
– Government no longer has to prove you earned income
– YOU must prove you didn’t
If money passes through you and you don’t have:
• records
• structure
• explanations
• classifications
You are exposed.
The “common man” is the real target here, not the billionaires with accountants.
Because big companies already know how to:
– structure income
– classify expenses
– document everything
But the average Nigerian?
We collect money casually.
We move money emotionally.
We receive funds without thinking.
We don’t record context.
And this law punishes that.
It turns ignorance into liability.
It turns informality into risk.
It turns survival money into taxable events.
Nobody is saying the law is evil.
But pretending it’s harmless is dishonest.
If you earn, receive, or move money without structure, this law is not neutral to you; it is hostile.
Be angry if you want.
But don’t be unprepared.
I am on a 60 day journey to show you things you need to know about this tax law. Follow @jpattueyi and turn on the notifications for daily updates.
Let’s break it down:
They say, “If you earn ₦2.5 million a year, you should pay ₦250,000 in tax yearly.” But ₦2.5 million annually is barely ₦200,000 per month.
₦200k is not big money in Nigeria. Not in 2025, you’re poor.
Not with the current economy.
Now imagine you have two kids. Or let’s calculate for you alone sef
Out of that ₦200k:
•Feeding: Eating decently is at least ₦3,000/day → ₦90,000/month
•Transport: ₦1,500/day → ₦45,000/month
•Light (NEPA + service charges + prepaid): ₦15,000/month
•Fuel (just to survive through the darkness): ₦15,000/month
•Miscellaneous (medicine, emergencies, small school needs, data, repairs): minimum ₦30,000/month
That’s already ₦195,000 — and we haven’t even touched school fees.
We haven’t touched house rent.
We haven’t touched clothing.
We haven’t touched savings.
We haven’t touched unexpected sickness.
Data is extremely expensive!!
We haven’t touched supporting parents (because in Nigeria, your parents will still call you).
And those same parents? Their children, the ones they are calling, are also paying tax from their own small income.
So tell me:
Out of this same ₦200k salary, where exactly is the “extra” that should be taxed at this rate?
How do you train two children in a country where school fees are now touching the skies?
How do you survive when the cost of living keeps rising but payment structure is till terrible?
How do people “progress” when even breathing feels taxed?
The salary structure in Nigeria is not just broken, it is confused.
Earnings in this country are like adadabidi, unstable, unpredictable, nothing to write home about, yet the government wants to collect organized tax like the average Nigerian is swimming in abundance.
Instead of stabilizing the country…
Instead of improving the minimum wage… Instead of reducing the cost of food, transportation, and electricity…
Instead of fixing healthcare and education…
They jump straight to taxation.
Tax from where?
From the same people who are barely surviving?
Nigeria has never lacked resources, it has only lacked prioritization.
Before you tax people aggressively, create a country where people can actually live decently.
Do the bare minimum.
Make life livable.
Let people breathe first.
Because right now, nothing about this makes sense.
We are in hell
Tax is not about money entering your account. Tax is about what that money actually is.
If you describe money wrongly, it may look like income, and you pay more tax.
If you describe it correctly, you only pay tax when required... and nothing extra.
Let me show you how you can use descriptions to minimise taxes legally
SIMPLE DESCRIPTIONS YOU CAN USE (LEGALLY)
1. Money that is NOT income (NO TAX)
Use these when the money is not payment for work or business.
SituationDescription to use:
1. When a Family member sends you money, they should write "Gift / Family support"
2. When a Friend pays you back your money, he or she should write:"Refund / Reimbursement"
3. When you move your own money to another account, write:"Personal transfer / Savings"
4. When someone lends you money, he or she should write: "Loan received"
5. If you put your own money into business, write: "Capital contribution"
These do not attract tax when they are true.

I didn’t even know what VVF was until I served in northern Nigeria.
That’s why I sometimes struggle with whether NYSC should be scrappd, bcos many of us live in delulu land, oblivious to half of what’s really happening in this country, especially those of us born & raised in Lagos.
Girls in Nigeria are suffering. Over half of VVF patients were married off as children. Kids who should be in school (12, 13, 15 years old) are being forced into marriage & pregnancy before their bodies are ready. This is most common in areas with high rates of child marriage.
Cases of VVF due to child marriage:
Kano - 81.5% married by age 15
Borno - 52.3% married by age 15
Sokoto - over 90% married before 18,
etc.
In 2025, we are still allowing young girls to endure brutal pain/deaths under the control of men bcos “our religion says so.” Yet you’ve abandoned other outdated practices from that same religion bcos society has moved forward.
Why can’t we end child marriage too?
What is attractive in a child’s body??

If your teenage son impregnates a teenage girl, you should hold that your son to account.
He must go through the same reality that the girl is forced into and you are not to protect him. You are not to shield him.
If that girl has to pause her education, that boy must pause his as well. If she has to attend antenatal appointments, he must go with her.
If she has to get a job to support her child, he must do the same. Adult actions have adult consequences, and your son must carry them too.
We need to stop excusing and covering up male wrongdoing.
It is rotting the society from the inside out.
The level of permissiveness is bad.
While we are raising girls to be cautious and responsible, we are raising boys to be defended no matter how harmful their behaviour is.
Stop protecting the men who harm others.
Stop shielding your abusive husbands.
Stop protecting your rapist brothers.
Stop hiding your sons’ predatory actions.
Stop making excuses for misogyny.
