People allegedly involved in Thailand's local government exam cheating scandal are reportedly being asked to pay 300,000–500,000 baht to brokers claiming they can have their names removed from an official list of suspicious candidates, according to a source familiar with the investigation.

The source said the brokers claim they have connections with members of the committee reviewing abnormal exam results. Many of those approached had allegedly already paid 500,000–700,000 baht to secure civil service positions before the examinations.

The claims have not been independently verified. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the exam fraud, which is believed to involve thousands of local government appointments nationwide. #ThailandNews
