@atlasliddell I really hope so, but would it be weird for them to show more right after a big trailer? 😅 and Alix is doing a panel about Lara tomorrow on IGN LIVE.
Delusion maybe, but Catalyst news would be awesome. Doubt they’d interrupt the LOA marketing for that tho
@JadenOfAtlantis Honestly, I agree. I love Rise and Shadow as games, but the story was basically a detour after 2013. We reached the same destination either way, and aside from references you probably wouldn’t know you missed anything.
@65R0WDY@Odablock Yeah, I didn't have that done either, but the place I went to often does a zig-zag. It's a subtle way to break up the straight line look, and I've seen loads of good results with it! Maybe something to look into if you're curious. The photo above looks way too steep though imo
@merychxrry I wish people wouldn't try to comb through everything and claim it's AI. These renders are clearly not that. It just looks like a preset pose for all outfit renders. It's not uncommon.
@ivvanex The same people who expect games to constantly get bigger, better, and be bug-free in half the time for the same cost ☠️ Games are unreasonably hard to make. They have noooo idea.
@JesuisJanice They’re all the same model. It’s just different lighting, hair rendering, etc. It can change the look more than some think! It’s not impossible that some clips come from differing game builds too!
@LaraCrxft It’s ridiculous because everyone is jumping to assumptions lol. We don’t know when, how, or by who it was used.
For example, if it were an assistive coding agent to prototype early feature ideas, then I wouldn’t see an issue.
@OoXLR8oO It doesn’t specifically mention generative AI or even art. It could be an integrated AI tool in their engine, creative software, or even an additive coding agent.
Why can’t people just enjoy gaming now a days? Now everything has to be put literally under a microscope and good lord if one thing is just a bit off it’s a NEGATIVITY mountain and no joy whatsoever..
Every time a new game is announced, people scramble to come up with the worst takes possible. They're desperate for engagement, and I've become numb to it. I no longer react to anything. I just go back to playing my backlog.
@VALC_6 Games are getting bigger and more expensive to make. Cutting down wouldn’t make them cheaper, but not cutting down will eventually make them more expensive. Which will probably happen anyway
@VALC_6 No, because we’re already being sold games at a lower MSRP than they “should be”. It’s resisted inflation for decades, which is why there was a slight price hike from $60->$70 a while back.
