Weber's Der Freischutz premiered otd 200 years ago! Such a magical work - a strong influence on Schumann, Wagner, etc. I love the story of Beethoven meeting Weber. 'You're the very devil of a fellow,' he said, chuckling, embracing Weber and plying him with copious amounts of wine
