@curtisshaw9 Itβs Yildiz all day. They signed another LW so offer Martinelli + 75m.
Then go and do Alvarez for Gyok + 75m.
You invest the Vini bag into two elite attackers and unload two unwanted pieces. Itβs the best next move after not getting Vini
Heβs staying. Will be interesting to see if Madrid can work under Mourinho.
Now itβs time for Arsenal to push to get Yildiz. Martinelli + 70m euros for Yildiz.
Get Alvarez on a swap deal too. Gyokeres + 75m.
The reality is Vini was going to be a contractual headache for Arsenal long-term. I would still do the deal with him but their are some silver linings and better balance if we miss out
@danieIscouting It's time to bring in Yan Sommer on a free. He's just out there. He was the #1 the last few seasons at Inter, so bring him in.
Sell Kepa on it and have melsier as the third keeper. Thatβs the GK spot sorted
If I'm Vini, I think there are a couple of things I want while I'm making this decision.
He deleted his Instagram photos because he's clearing his mind. He doesn't want to make a sentimental choice. I don't take that as a "he's done with Real Madrid and on to the next one." It could be, but I think he wants a clear head to make a choice.
The other clear-headed choice that I think he should be thinking through is:
- With an increased image rights percentage to him in Real, does that help him make similar or close enough money to where he feels that his endorsements will work there?
- What kind of endorsement opportunities does he have that are coming through the door while playing in Madrid versus what his endorsement picture will look like in London?
Looking at this from a business decision perspective, removing sentimentality of posts and pictures of your time in Real and thinking about the implications financially, as well as your desire and where to play, are really the decisions he needs to make. I think he's going about it the right way. I'm hoping, selfishly as an Arsenal fan, that he decides to join
@afcstuff@JacobsBen Yildiz is the truth, and I do think that since that last time we checked, the signing of another left winger makes it possible for us to go and get him. It's worth at least checking in on, and I'm going to assume that Berta has tabs on him still
@HandofArsenal Juventus signed another left winger and have been rumored to be looking at other wingers as well. I think they're less settled on keeping Yildiz, given that they could cash in on him for a significant transfer fee.
@HandofArsenal I'm ready to be hurt, and I think we're going to be.
It would be great if Vini signs for us, but we move forward and on to Kenan Yildiz if it doesn't work out with Vinny. Martinelli plus cash for Yildiz feels possible.
I'd imagine that this is going to be decided by Friday. It would be shocking if it went any longer than that.
The potential spin here, with Vini as the bad guy for possibly rejecting RM, does feel unfortunate, but hopefully that helps him see what Real is about and understand a bit more about the family environment that Arsenal is.
@imkikosuarez It still covers enough of Diomande, plus what you're getting off the books in terms of salary. I assume that Yan is going to be on significantly less than what Vini was on.
Rotation's going to happen regardless of the desire to have a nailed on lineup as last year. It just can't happen. It physically cannot happen.
The players were gassed by the end of the season, which is a large reason why the Premier League race was so close. It is also why we look like a shell of ourselves at the end of our Champions League run.
Without rotation, we will not go as far as we did last year. With rotation, that also means minutes for everyone. There won't be somebody stuck on the end of the bench.
If Arteta doesn't change it, then not only will we have players picking up more injuries, but some of these players will just leave the club.
Their ability to play meaningful football and to be viable in their prime years and beyond will be compromised. Their ability to earn those contracts in their prime and after will go away if they're sapped by the time that they're 28 years old, 25 years old, like we're seeing potentially happen now.
