🚨BREAKING: UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham is facing backlash after promoting Google Maps fuel price checks as “help” for drivers.
His solution is a new feature showing live fuel prices to help motorists find cheaper petrol and diesel in the UK.
Burnham said that he "gets it" why people are worried about fuel prices, adding he “won’t accept that there’s nothing” he can do about it.
Critics argue the bigger issue is tax, with fuel duty and VAT making up roughly 43%-47% of UK pump prices.
At current prices, around 86p of every £2 litre of diesel goes to the Treasury.
They argue that if Burnham wants to help, cutting tax would matter more than showing people where to buy it.
Professor Jeffrey Sachs of Columbia University describes the situation in Pakistan as "surreal" and "tragic".
He said he hopes "the US understands its attempt to repress the highly intelligent, enormously skilled - and, by the way, someone who would like to have good relations with the United States - Imran Khan, who has the backing of Pakistani people should not be pushed away." #PTIWon
I congratulate the holy and great Eid of Mab'ath to all Muslims of the world. It can be said with certainty that the appointment of Islam's holy Prophet is the most blessed and greatest incident that has happened for the humans in the course of history.
