I was maybe 11-12 when I realized that it was bullshit to hate gays or people who had done nothing to me. I pushed that instilled ideology out. All I can do is teach my children to love all people

@shaybuttahoney @EarthIsMyName @gennessen @tinabruh While my grandpa doesn’t have issues with POC, he was quick to try and instill a hatred of Muslims, Russians, Asians, Swedes, etc from where his family in Hungary passed that hate. A child doesn’t wake up one morning sayinf “I’m going to hate x people now”

@shaybuttahoney @EarthIsMyName @gennessen @tinabruh I can tell you first hand those beliefs are passed down. While I am third generation in this country and my family had nothing to donwith slaves, it still doesn’t mean that hateful ideology isn’t passed down. Children are taught to hate.
