“Our nationalism is not merely a morbid idealising of the past, but is also capable of formulating a distinct & definite answer to the problems of the present and a political & economic creed capable of adjustment to the wants of the future.” - Commandant General James Connolly.
The Good Jobs Bill is the biggest upgrade to workers' rights since the Good Friday Agreement. It tackles zero-hour contracts, strengthens union recognition & puts dignity back into work. There is no excuse for further delay. We're calling on all MLAs to deliver for the workers.
The significance of @DamoDempsey performing his iconic ‘Colony’ live in Béal Feirste under a sign that reads ‘Empire’ cannot be overstated.
Incredible stuff 👏🏼🇮🇪
The sheer scale of the venom being directed at Celtic and their fans is more than just about football. It is rooted in Scotland's baleful legacy and history of anti-Irish Catholic racism and bigotry.
We were on our knees as a community when Celtic was established in 1888. In 2026 we stand tall.
And the reason we do stand tall is largely because of Celtic, and how the club has provided us with a sense of pride in an identity that is rooted in defiance not compliance.
The DUP will fail in its attempts to undermine and attack the Irish language and Irish identity.
Sinn Féin will not settle for anything less than rights, equality and respect for all.
@ChrisHazzardSF
I understand the emotion around a huge penalty decision in a massive game. Football does that to people.
But at some point emotion has to give way to evidence. When freeze frames, angles and clear contact are sitting right in front of us, denying it because it doesn’t suit your team or narrative just kills any honest debate.
What’s even worse is when professionals and pundits, who know the game inside out, deliberately drive a narrative to suit an agenda rather than analyse what’s actually in front of them. That only fuels tribalism and misinformation.
You can debate consistency. You can debate interpretation. But you can’t just ignore unrefutable evidence because it’s inconvenient. Football discussion is far better when honesty matters more than point scoring.
Today at lunchtime, teachers throughout Ireland are joining the ICTU Workplace Day of Action in solidarity with Palestine and an end to complicity in Israel’s atrocities
Our educators aren't just teaching history today - they're standing on the right side of it
Never, in the history of football- or any sport- has there been such blatant & shameless cheating.
League is going to Hearts, 5 minutes stoppage played, not to worry Celtic’s officials deliver for them yet again.
Celtic have no shame; any other club would be embarrassed at the level of cheating. But not them.
The reprehensible Beaton delivers for his own again.
How is this man allowed to be a referee?
He literally doesn’t even try to hide it anymore.
Incredible election results in Scotland & Wales, with voters overwhelmingly endorsing the politics of hope & self-determination.
Whether you live here in Ireland or across the water, we now have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to take control of our own affairs, with the potential for three pro-independence First Ministers.
People are looking beyond Westminster towards a brighter, more positive future, free from the shackles of the British government.
With more opportunities in the time ahead to build on this historic change, I look forward to continuing to work with the SNP & Plaid Cymru.
We are witnessing a historic transformation across these islands
With three pro-independence First Ministers leading the way, the message is clear: Westminster does not serve our people
A new era of hope and sovereignty is rising, and the momentum for change is now unstoppable
Writing for Belfast Live, South Down MP Chris Hazzard argues that Stormont is being asked to manage decline while an insulated Whitehall watches from the sidelines

Well said @sanambna
Sad to hear the legendary Terry ‘Cruncher’ ONeill has passed away this Easter
Cruncher was a republican stalwart, and a proud anti-imperialist
He will be sadly missed by many who loved his music, his craic, and his comradeship
Codladh sámh, a chomrádaí ✊🏼
As young voters across Ireland increasingly back Sinn Féin in opposition to partition, inequality and global imperialism, the party’s national chair, Declan Kearney, discusses the possibilities and pitfalls of this moment. https://t.co/kq7OEJuyjn
The cheek of RTÉ using Kneecap in their buildup, even though the lads couldn’t watch the match from the comfort of their own homes in Béal Feirste. End the scandal of geoblocking RTÉ and end partition.
Anyway, COYBIG ☘️
