These highly effective BIA’s need help now because they make a difference. Everybody has had to pivot budgets, models and mindset. I encourage @TourismHamilton to pivot, put your budget where it will be effective, given that your mandate is on hold... it’s the right thing to do.

Tourism Hamilton’s mandate makes sense during non-pandemic times but not so much when trying to attract people from Peel/Toronto to Pearl Jam concerts at First Ontario when there aren’t any. The downtown BIA has a 400k budget and is doing so much with so little.

Here is an idea that will have tremendous impact on #HamOnt businesses during the pandemic... with council approval, Tourism Hamilton should shift a significant portion of their extraordinary budget to our local BIA’s across the city.
