Biden and Trump refused to provide Ukraine with effective weapons to attack drone factories deep inside Russia.
Now Russian-made drones are being used in another war involving the US itself.
The idiocy of "escalation management" proved again.
Remember when we learned that our wealthiest and most powerful people were connected to a guy who ran a literal child sex trafficking ring? And then that guy died mysteriously in a jail? And now we just don't talk about it.
The mental health impact of the full scale invasion on the soldier and his wife in this documentary reminded me of my first trip to Ukraine, and particularly 12 April 2023 at Kharkiv train station. As I was waiting to get a train back to Lviv.
I saw a Ukrainian soldier and was compelled to thank him for his service. I was reticent to do so as I didn’t want to intrude or upset him. But I decided to approach him. I had a translated message to show him.
He responded in good English, but he had a stammer and was almost hyperventilating. He thanked me in return for the support of the U.K. Adding it must be difficult for some U.K. citizens to understand why we were helping.
He then apologised for his stammer. “I’m a little wild as I have just returned from the zero line.”
I realised then the trauma he had gone through. The first time I’d spoken to any servicemen or woman who was exhibiting signs of combat stress.
It moved me greatly. He was only just returned from a bad area of fighting and he was apologising to me. Heartbreaking.
We parted, he was on my train back west.
His name was Vadym.
Yesterday I thought about him again.
Having said that, I agree we must have a ban on conversion practices - which includes “gender affirming therapy”. Most of these teenagers need help, not castration.
@BellRibeiroAddy Chuka Umunnah was my MP in 2019. Decent and intelligent, but ousted by labour factionalism. This woman sent a number of bizarre election messages -“as a black single mother I understand your needs”. I am none of those, so why should I vote for her. 24/2/2022 supported rf invasion

@BellaVLiberman russia started the war in Donbas in 2014 and killed 14,000 (mainly russians) over the next 8 years. russia could have stopped that war at any time, but no, putin decided to escalate and now another 1.25 million russians are dead or mutilated. Is that a success?
Good to see this. Dodgy charity @prideinsurrey is no longer taking part in an event at a library. The organisation was set up by a paedophile and is now run by his ex with whom, it is alleged, he took methamphetamine. Well done to @WomenofSurrey. Safeguarding in action. 👏👏👏👇
