A lot of academics are ableist in that they use an out of reach vocabulary while posturing for disability inclusion. Disability inclusion means learning and cognitive disabilities too, which means youโre keeping them out as well.
@Deb_Outdoors@pollydoddle@LesleyTait2@clairekane1@ElaineJeely Ahh yep the eternal dilemma between specificity and accessibility, the words we use matter but how do we make sure everyone is included. NGL I think that we should be using pedagogue rather than practitioner as a job title what's your thoughts @GearGill ?
The best thing about this is that kids aren't afraid to shout at random folk 'WHAT ARE YOU DOING??' which is usually very endearing and results in EVERYONE learning something.
We've had so many great interactions when out an about w/kids, from gardeners to electricians , dog walkers and SEPA , allowing children to be part of their local community and learn about what actually happens out in the world.
I love the hills but this definitely bears thinking about > https://t.co/bwnIMrMshD how does our presence/tourism affect wild landscapes? Not a straightforward conversation with lots of factors that feed into it.....
Stumbled upon this great hidden den whilst walking on Rosneath at the weekend filled with shells on strings and cobbled together loose parts. Love the finding a wee special place that someone obvs loves.
We also have an ace video from @BalticAP โFIVE MINUTE FIRESโ film featuring Isla from @loveearthtime

It took so long to find an outdoor men's jacket that wasn't a dark colour. TK MAXX is my fave and 12.99 decathlon sailing trousers that have lasted far longer than expecte.
