One thing about me, I'm going to survive the plot twist. I'm a plot twist veteran. A pivot princess. A reinvention queen. A bounce-back baddie. Change the plan, change the path, change the whole damn plot-fil figure it out.
If you want to change, you have to become conscious of your unconscious patterns. You have to catch yourself in the act of being the old self. And then you have to choose differently. Not once. A thousand times. Until the new choice becomes the new default.
Documentation keeps winning. It saves lives. And if you have ever heard “document your journey” and thought: “Where do I even start?”
This thread is for you.
I don’t want a soft life because I’m lazy. I want a soft life because I’ve spent most of my life in survival mode. my nervous system has been in fight or flight since childhood and now I’m choosing peace and stability.
the way you guys are so reckless with people's emotions is scary.
the complete disregard for your impact on someone you chose to interact with is honestly? so sad.
there is no pride in being dead inside and moving with reckless abandon.
just leave people alone then.
I hope this week brings you evidence that your effort has not been invisible, your patience has not been pointless, and your life is still capable of surprising you in the best of ways.
So I got my period at work today with absolutely no warning and went around asking all the women in the office if anyone had anything and nobody had a single thing.
One of the guys overheard me and said he had pads in his car because he keeps them there for his girlfriend for emergencies.
And then he went out to his car and came back and handed me a pastry bag.
This man had put the pads inside a pastry bag so nobody would know what was in it. To save me the awkwardness of walking through the office visibly carrying pads. He thought about that. On his own.
And it wasn't just one, he gave me two because I had an eight hour shift and he did that math himself apparently.
I was not prepared for......
Have you ever met someone so incredible that, instead of chasing them, you start fixing your life? You think, "Hold on. Let me heal, clean up my habits, and get my mind right." It’s not about trying to impress them; it’s because they deserve the version of you that you’re still building.
Having a man that's a true provider isn't about his finances.
It's his presence.
His "I'm always going to take care of you" mentality.
His healthy masculinity.
His ability to listen without taking it personally.
His regulated nervous system.
The laughter and love he brings daily.
may you attract people who match your highest good, those who read sincerity on your lips and reciprocate with humility. may those who find you ground you. may those who journey with you, awaken a sense to your own beauty. your presence is a world to someone else, remember that.
you cannot make sense to a person who only comprehends things at their own level of perception. no matter how much you explain, argue, or try. save your energy.
My main goal is to make sure I reach my full potential. There’s a woman that I plan to be. I’m not her yet. I’m still learning and growing, failing and resetting, hitting and missing. But I’ll keep working until I become who I aspire to be. 💕
