@SamRoggeveen@AndrewSErickson Seriously, guys, AUKUS is clearly a Scam! Before it Australia was one of the most antinuclear countries in the world. Major US Navy ships just could not go there because they'd have to guarantee authorities that there were no nuclear weapons on board...
@SamRoggeveen@AndrewSErickson h) At the same time the US Navy tells the US Congress explicitly that its Sub production lines crawl and cannot fullfil their own demand much less Australias! How is this zig-zagging not proof there is ZERO actual plans being seriously being considered since the announcement?
@SamRoggeveen@AndrewSErickson f) Than "The Astute line at the Barrow shipyard cannot be used to build more subs for Australia becaise it is needed to build the future British SSBN ships", g) Then "we will receive 3-4 used Virginia-class subs from the US Navy and build other subs locally in the future"
@SamRoggeveen@AndrewSErickson Every six months since the first announcemente the plan seems to change radically. Subs will be buily in Australia by Australian engineers using a proven design... Then "We will locally build British Astute subs"...
@SamRoggeveen@AndrewSErickson e) The only weapon in the world more expensive than a nuclear powered attack sub is a nuclear-powered balistic missile submarine, but that suddenly is no longer an issue since the French Shortfin Barracuda has cancelled EXPLICITLY BECAUSE IT WAS OUTRAGEOUSLY EXPENSIVE! 😱
@SamRoggeveen@AndrewSErickson d) But NO! Why do this simple thing if "due to long cultural and historical links with Australia the US and UK will neatly hand them their most advanced nuclear technology for peanuts, ultra modern subs with reactors that require nothing less than 98% enriched uranium?
@SamRoggeveen@AndrewSErickson b) Australia is desperate to bail out of the hi-risk "Shortfin Barracuda" giant conventionally powered attack sub. There is a time limit to cut the contract short and something has to be done NOW! c) France HAS a nuclear attack sub in production, that would be the easy way on...
@SamRoggeveen@AndrewSErickson Absolutely EVERYTHING stunk about the momentous AUKUS announcement when Biden visited Australia. a) The US a long standing enemy of military nuclear technology proliferation, suddenly repents and wants to help Australia BUILD their own nuclear subs! 😵💫
@SamRoggeveen@AndrewSErickson Now to allow for the "future RAN nuclear powered attack subs" all these rules and regulations have been thoroughly removed and US Navy attack subs can be based in the Australian West with zero problems. Thus no need anymore for any "RAN-owned or operated nuclear attack subs!
@beto_caiafa@ALIDE_BMilitar BOMBA! Edge Group deve comprar a Akaer ainda neste mês de junho! Obrogado "padrinho"! BOMBA! Edge Group deve comprar a Akaer ainda neste mês de junho!
@beto_caiafa@letmepickthat@AleksnderZajac Regarding the guidance systems inside are both CAMM variants identically equiped, and, do they share any hardware with the previous Aster SAM family? Since MBDA is currently moving in a technology convergence path for its missile families I would assume that mighthappen...
@heatloss1986 So, at least the RCAF can now make great use of its own F-35s in complex trials piting them against the new Gripens in order to practice many new ways it can kill the F-35s in air combat. Thanks USA!
@heatloss1986 These analisys numbers mean zilch if the country selling you the aircraft think it is normal and appropriate to treat their multibillion dollar clients as their B*tch. Thr first war of the inexcrutable F-35, Iran alrerady has shown it is not unkillable.
@heatloss1986@LeifNordh Embraer is very compentent in the area of "folding metal sheet". The big value in the ToT arrangement for Embraer was that of the complex software systems integration technologies, something that pushes them forward on the defense but also even more in the civilian aircraft side.
@heatloss1986@LeifNordh Forgive me being blunt, but you have absolutely no idea what Brazil got from the Gripen deal. First of all we got a software development lab that is able to integrate whatever weapons we feel like integrating on the Gripen E/F platform. NO OTHER COUNTRY OFFERS THIS SORT OF THING.
@heatloss1986@LeifNordh Brazil could build the complete aircraft (excepting the engines) but Embraer felt it added more trouble than any specific advantage so the opted for the final assembly line while Saab's plant in S Bernardo manufactures some fuselage items as well as mantains the Raven AESA radar.
