Graham Potter and the Order of the Boot. Potter deserved to go but he didn’t deserve the manner of his exit. It’s the right decision – the team were drifting, he was uninspiring, the fans had turned, the bubbles popped - but the timing? Harsh/cruel to let Potter take press conference, contend with questions even about face swapping, and then announce his sacking the following morning. Spend all week preparing the team, and then this. Shows a lack of class by the board.

The only mitigation is if there’s an imminent announcement of Potter’s successor. If it’s Nuno, he will doubtless organise West Ham better, coach them in defending set-pieces and get the best out of Kilman. Irony that Nuno's last game at Forest was Potter’s one win this season. Nuno’s a good choice but West Ham also have to improve recruitment. Keep selling talent - Kudus, Rice - and not spending enough for replacements of sufficient quality and pay the price.

Post-Potter, the stadium configuration still remains a problem and fans are still protesting over ticketing and the way the club is run. Bigger issues at West Ham than the manager. #WHUFC
