@GoldbergCFC The key thing is, he’d start every game for Spurs. Even if we really want him, he won’t be starting at Chelsea — and that’s the issue. Any player would obviously prefer to be a starter.

@ConnCFC It is dumb, but he wasn’t happy staying on bench all the time for Palmer even when Palmer was bad.. we didn’t even start him when Palmer performance dropped..

That shows no trust in him & won’t be surprised or blame him if he wants to move permanently.
