احمد شریف چودری، سخن‌گوی ارتش پاکستان، می‌گوید که ده‌ها گروه تروریستی در افغانستان حضور دارند و از قلمرو تحت کنترل طالبان کار می‌گیرند.

چودری در گفت‌وگو با العربیه گفته است که پاکستان به عملیات ضد تروریستی علیه حمله‌های ‌که از افغانستان سرچشمه می‌گیرند، ادامه می‌دهد.

به گفته او طالبان قلمرو تحت حاکمیت خود را برای جلب و جذب، آموزش، تسلیح و هدایت انواع حمله‌های تروریستی در داخل پاکستان و منطقه در اختیار این گروه‌ها قرار داده‌اند.

چودری القاعده، شاخه‌ی خراسان داعش، تحریک طالبان پاکستان و ارتش آزادی‌بخش بلوچستان را به‌عنوان گروه‌های فعال در افغانستان خوانده است.

سخن‌گوی ارتش پاکستان تاکید کرد که اسلام‌آباد بر اساس حق دفاع مشروع، از شهروندان خود حفاظت خواهد کرد.

اسلام‌آباد بار‌ها طالبان افغان را به حمایت و پناه‌دادن به گروه‌های تروریستی متهم کرده است؛ اما طالبان افغان می‌گویند که از خاک افغانستان هیچ‌گونه تهدیدی متوجه کشور‌ها به ویژه‌ کشور‌های همسایه نیست.
