We are deeply shocked by the horrific condition of Palestinian bodies handed over by the Israeli army after being detained during the genocide in #Gaza. Clear evidence shows that many of the victims were subjected to deliberate and brutal torture https://t.co/rS0vqXaWdb
There is no international media here to broadcast this to the American and European public.
Shame on you, reporting non-stop from Jerusalem and areas just kilometers away, while pretending your hands are tied.
“Oh, Israel isn’t allowing us into Gaza!”
How about not allowing yourselves into Israel as a response? (“voluntary ban on journalists” if one can describe it as such.)
This is one of the most heartbreaking scenes.
Families of missing Palestinians—whether killed in Gaza by Israel and their bodies then held hostage, or abducted by Israel and later killed under torture—sit in front of a screen, desperately hoping to recognize a loved one among the bodies returned through the ICRC.
These hostages were returned not with names, but as numbers.
In bags.
With visible signs of torture.
Blindfolded.
Handcuffed.
Some were even hanged.
And yet, no journalists are reporting live to their channels on these hostages.
No one follows their funerals.
No interviews with their parents, children, uncles, aunts, neighbors, or friends.
Unlike the intense, wall-to-wall coverage given to the few hostages, just a few kilometers
Tonight Israel murdered the bravest journalistic hero in Gaza, Anas Al-Sharif. For nearly two straight years, he documented the genocide of his people with courage & principle. Israel put him on a hit list because of his voice. Shame on this world & all who were silent.
