Enjoyed this interview in @hunterwalk’s newsletter especially the bit on “slope > y-intercept”. Fascinated by the paradox where early stage founders say don’t hire big tech yet VCs still want to see those logos under names on a pitch deck https://t.co/sej65ksvws
Weekend listening with @karina_bernacki. I love Karina’s perspectives on managing humans so much. Not one of, but *the best* people leader and coach I’ve worked with.
AI predictions: Episode 2 is out! In this one @genevievemp talks about the highs and lows of AI. This couldn’t be more “NOW”. Listen to It Just Got Real wherever you get your podcasts!
It’s starting to feel like @figma@canva@vsco@capcutapp are the design tools of the future. I find myself opening Creative Suite less and less (and yes I know Figma is owned by Adobe)
It struck me how progressive that is because a coloring page with that image is not something you’d find in a typical book. Anyway, today the internet did a nice thing.
We often hear about how AI disappoints when it comes to diversity, but today I sent my sister a link to an AI coloring book generator, she (a wheelchair user) generated an image with a wheelchair and her response was “wow cool!” 😊
Hearing @linear 's designers take screenshots and designing on top of that, disregard design systems and fancy figma files is a refreshing revelation.
"Because in the end, what is the user looking at?"
He's so right. We should focus on work that improves the product.
Obviously this type of productivity is best suited for small teams or solo designers. As you scale, it's a good idea to get organized around a design system.
@jonty Seriously? Are they weather-proof ish? I feel like they would look so cool nestled into a bunch of succulents
(Obv there is not much “weather” here)
