@robertrea What an amazing story, thanks for sharing. Special to have had that unique experience and to be part of a moment in history (or many moments as it transpired!)
@WgtnCC@mrlcurry Total aside, but Simone can I just say I think you do a bloody amazing job replying to social media queries. Not easy in a city the size of Welly.
@Shab_d @bexquilliam It's definitely pretty random. My youngest son was all over me when older son and I had Covid and we made no attempts to isolate. He sailed through and then a month later caught it in a mass outbreak in his class at school. Go figure.
@bexquilliam I coughed and sneezed all over everyone, shared a bed with the kids, scattered my dirty tissues everywhere and shared my drink bottle with my husband and nobody caught it off me.
@Rafa71752470@Dianne_Khan @avocato_bob No "emotionsisms" involved. Bob's graph does not show the data from the spike I was referring to, in covid cases in our school community. I'd be very happy to see that in graph form but I'm not sure Bob has that info to hand.
@Dianne_Khan My son, who is one of those 10%, did make that correlation yesterday and thought school might just want to reconsider the whole mask bizzo. And they have. Pleased to see a quick response to the spike.
@StephDyhrberg@johnonz49 I reckon you'll test positive in due course. Mine started with fevers. Felt so cold on a Monday night that even a really hot bath couldn't warm me up. Negative test. Shivered and shook all night long, got progressively worse and was positive within 7 seconds early Tues morning.
@nickbakernz I love that the final is basically chicken noodle soup (the mundane version) vs chicken noodle soup (the insanely delicious, spicy with lots of extras as well as just chicken and noodles version)
@vivsterNZ Holy shit, is this a real thing? I have a sword obsessed 12 year old with a house full of LARP swords and we sword fight every day. This would be his dream. If only it was in Wellington! Or if it's a holiday programme we might have to relocate sometime.
@VenerableDonkey Seems to be a mix, in my experience. In my household I caught covid (probably at the gym) and then my high school age son caught it from me and the primary school son remains in the clear despite much close contact. I expected school to be the spreader but it wasn't for us.
