Ia mengaku adegan telanjang tentu menjadi beban. Namun, lewat proyek ini dan komunikasi dengan sutradara Jung Ji-woo, ia justru mendapat keberanian untuk menjalaninya.

Soal reaksi penggemar, Chang-wook mengatakan ia tak ingin memikirkan apa yang akan disukai fans saat memilih atau menjalankan sebuah proyek. Menurutnya, ia harus tetap jujur pada karakter dan membiarkan penonton menilai hasilnya.

Untuk karakter “playboy terbesar di Joseon”, ia juga tidak sengaja mencoba tampil seperti seorang playboy. Ia memilih mengikuti situasi dan emosi dalam cerita secara natural.

Sementara saat bekerja dengan Nana, Chang-wook mengatakan dirinya tidak merasa pantas memberi nasihat akting. Ia lebih ingin menjadi rekan kerja yang bisa membuat Nana merasa nyaman, berani, dan lebih fokus pada emosinya.
