Al-Shabab’s Middle Shabelle governor, Kabakutukade, is seriously injured

The Minister of Defence, H.E. Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, announced during a press conference in Galkayo that a precision airstrike targeted a meeting of Al-Shabaab senior leaders in Aadan Yabaal district of the Middle Shabelle region. The meeting was chaired by Yusuf Isse Kaba-kudukade, the group's regional leader for Middle Shabelle. The strike neutralised 11 Al-Shabaab senior leaders and wounded four others, including Kaba-kudukade.

Al-Shabaab militants will find no refuge in flight or hiding from the sustained offensive of the Somali National Army.
