she's a good example of how badly misogyny can warp young girls' ways of thinking. i think a lot of the discomfort people have with her character is because it reflects the uncomfortable reality of what many young girls still have to live through
His life isn't as miserable as the fandom portraits to be. He didn't need to change himself to fit in or make himself small and meek, he just needed to accept himself for who he truly is and he'll find genuine friends (talking from experience)
As much as I hate his ass, he is relatable and understandable. He's a 13 y/o boy who's been abused and he knows his brother isn't really the real one. That could've sent anyone else somewhere worse.
Y'all got me thinking she's a soft cottage core girl when she canonically is not. And her character dev shld be really talked abt bc she came from damsel in distress to an actual heroine
His identity beyond w Mitsuba is really unexplored. Like yes, he's self sacrificial when it comes to Mitsuba BUT SO IS HE W ANYONE ELSE!!! His friendship w Hanako is really underrated, and the last time we ever saw them interact w seriousness was P.P arc
