What an incredible surprise during one of our routine camera trap checks! 🐆📸
Not one, not two, but six adolescent cheetahs stopped by Tupuka's playtree right here on CCF property!
One curious youngster even wandered right up to the camera for a sniff, giving us some wonderfully blurry close-ups while the rest of the group waited in the background. We couldn't have planned a better photo! 😄
A group like this could be a dispersal group—young cheetahs that have recently left their mother and are exploring together before finding territories of their own.
It's moments like these that remind us why camera traps are such an important conservation tool, since helps us better understand cheetah movements and behaviour.
🐆 Delilah's next step is the one we've been working towards for years: returning to the wild.
After more than two years of rehabilitation at CCF, Delilah is almost ready to begin the next chapter of her journey. But before she can take her first steps back into the wild, there is one final hurdle.
To give Delilah the best possible chance of success, our team must carefully prepare and monitor her release. Today, we're raising £3,000 to cover the final costs of Delilah's return to the wild.
This careful approach has already helped many rehabilitated cheetahs successfully return to appropriate habitats, where they can live as wild cheetahs once again.
Now it's Delilah's turn.
💛 Every donation, no matter the size, brings her one step closer to freedom.

🐆 Meet Delilah, our Cheetah of the Month — and one of CCF's release candidates!
Delilah's journey began in 2023 when she was orphaned and captured in a trap cage on a farm. She arrived at CCF at approximately eight months old and, because she had remained wild, was considered a strong candidate for release back into her natural habitat.
Now, after more than two years at CCF, Delilah is preparing for the next chapter of her story. She is scheduled for release in 2026, and our team is currently evaluating potential release sites before beginning her transition back to the wild.
Want to learn more about Delilah's rescue, rehabilitation, and what it takes to prepare a cheetah for life back in the wild?

Our #LivestockGuardianDogs joined the #ChristmasWrapped trend at CCF Namibia 🎄✨ Because who doesn’t love a festive moment?
These playful photos are a sweet reminder of why our dogs are so special. Thanks to these amazing dogs, many farmers report an 80–100% reduction in livestock losses, which helps reduce human–wildlife conflict and keeps cheetahs safe from being killed in retaliation.
So yes… celebrating these dogs is very important to us 💛🐾

Do you remember Tupuka? He’s the male cheetah who was rescued near CCF’s Centre in Namibia after being caught in a farm trap.
Since releasing him back into the wild, our team has been monitoring him through our camera traps, and luckily, he’s not camera-shy!
In this clip, Tupuka can be seen spraying urine to mark his territory, a natural behaviour for wild cheetahs.
Would you like to see more updates on Tupuka? Tell us in the comments! 🐆💬

Sam Bird and Jess Impiazzi, our amazing ambassadors, have an important reminder for you. Our campaign “Empower Communities, Save Cheetah Cubs!” is now live, and we need your help.
This campaign will raise funds for our new project aimed at reducing wildlife crime by addressing its root causes: poverty, lack of opportunity, and human–wildlife conflict (HWC) in rural communities bordering cheetah habitats.
Every donation, no matter the amount, will be matched. This is your chance to protect vulnerable cheetah cubs during this special week as we celebrate International Cheetah Day.

Do you know that across our centres in Namibia and Somaliland, cheetahs eat between 2 and 4 pounds of meat each day?
In the wild, they hunt gazelles, impalas, and other swift prey, but at CCF, we provide balanced meals that keep them strong and thriving.
With a gift of just £5, you can buy a cheetah a meal and help us continue protecting this endangered species.

The eight newest cheetah cub arrivals in Somaliland had an exciting day — they got to explore the larger enclosure next to the clinic pens for the very first time and even meet some of their new neighbours! ☺️🐾
They’re growing up fast, and thanks to our dedicated team, they’re receiving all the love and expert care they need to thrive. 💛
✨ For the first time, we’re bringing you an #ArtistTakeover! This month, meet Sarah Lake, a talented paper artist from Kent whose love for wildlife shines through every piece she creates. 🐾✂️
What started as a hobby over ten years ago has now turned into something truly meaningful: Sarah donates her unique papercut artworks to wildlife charities, including CC, to help raise funds for conservation. 💛

This week we celebrated International Dog Day 🐾 — but at CCF, dogs are so important that we’ve decided to celebrate them all week long!
🦴 Our Livestock Guarding Dogs use their presence (and loud bark!) to keep predators away from farms, preventing conflict and saving cheetah lives.
👃 Our Scat Detection Dogs help us track cheetahs in the wild, providing vital data for monitoring and conservation.
Beyond their hard work, they’re also our best friends, bringing joy to every day at CCF. Now, we need your help taking care of them.
By symbolically adopting one of our dogs, you’re helping us provide them with the food, healthcare, and training they need to continue their life-saving work.

Volunteers are at the heart of CCF’s work 💛🐆 Thanks to their dedication, we can:
→ Raise awareness about cheetah conservation and CCF’s work in the Horn of Africa
→ Inspire more people to symbolically adopt cheetahs
→ Fundraise for vital conservation projects
→ Build connections across England and open doors to new partnerships
None of this would be possible without our incredible volunteers. A huge thank you to Sam and Ali, who dedicated their time at the Hamerton Zoo last weekend to support this important cause!

In Namibia, CCF has tagged and released over 650 cheetahs, rehabilitated more than 50 orphans, and radio-tracked nearly 100 to inform conservation strategies. Beyond cheetahs, we work to restore wildlands, protect watersheds, and reintroduce native species.
This vital work is only possible because of your support—thank you!
