'.stuck at the JR for more than a week because there were no community hospitals available'
Locally #Marlow#Thame lost 24/7 beds, 22 beds at #Amersham closing without reopen date or jobs being advertised. #NothingTemporaryAboutThisClosure#SaveOurNHS

It's not too late to do right by patients and staff @NMacdonaldBHT#SaveChartridgeWard
We can't afford to lose another 22 beds in Bucks and for yet another staff team to be ripped apart @BucksHealthcare
@NMacdonaldBHT@BucksHealthcare@LeslyC68 sorry I don't understand how as someone closing a 22 bed ward, why you can't give a figure for how many staff are needed on Chartridge ward to meet safe staffing levels. I think a meeting with you as CEO and the media is needed so we can get some proper answers.
Find it very strange that Healthwatch is asking this question and then when someone replies with keep beds open, they defend decision. This on top of fact that you are asking this question for a so called 'temporary closure' = bizarre (we know it's not temp, no start date, etc)
What do you think of this closure? Would you like to get the hospital beds back? Or should the hospital be providing more outpatient services? https://t.co/cXC9f0uVZJ
@CQCpressoffice Patients need the 24/7 care. General patients are taking over specialist beds in Stoke and that's with this ward open!! Please urgently intervene and prevent another staff team being ripped apart.
@CQCpressoffice surely alternatives to full closure of 22 bed Chartridge ward in Amersham? E.g adjusting the bed numbers to meet safe staffing? Full closure seems very extreme when we know that the system is under so much pressure. Concerns re. patient safety if ward closes 1/2
On 22.08.18 I interviewed representatives of Buckinghamshire Healthcare Trust about the closure of overnight beds in Marlow. They told me that Chartridge ward in Amersham was the fallback option for people in Marlow.
313 days later they close Chartridge ward. Questions are coming
