光はモネから、
色の組み立てはスーラから。

現在制作中のZETA。
まだ頭部と胸部だけですが、今回の光と色の方向が、ようやく見えてきました。

光について参考にしているのは、モネの夕景です。
左から差し込む暖かな光が、装甲の固有色を強く染める。
その一方で、反対側には冷たい空気光を残しています。

青い装甲だからといって、青だけで作っているわけではありません。
黄、橙、青緑、紫——
異なる色を細かな筆触として並べ、距離の中で一つの青に見せています。

色の作り方は、スーラの点描から。
ただし、絵画の「点」をそのまま再現するのではなく、
装甲の面と流れに合わせて、短い筆触へ置き換えています。

近づけば、色は一つずつ分かれて見える。
少し離れると、それが光になる。

モネの光と、スーラの色彩理論。
二つの異なる絵画言語を、一つの立体表面の上で統合する試みです。

まだ上半身の途中。
ここから、この光を全身へどう連続させるかを探っていきます。

Then (almost casually) he picked up handcycling.
4 Paralympic golds.
12 world titles.
NYC Marathon champion.
Ironman finisher.

He wasn't defying his disability.
He was just being Alex.

Two career-ending crashes.
One life. No excuses.
Never a single moment of self-pity.

He used to say: "If you want to do something, you can do it."
Simple. Obvious. And yet most of us forget it every single day.

What do you do with a second chance at life? Alex answered that better than anyone in history.
