FUEL PRICES: Proposal on the reduction of Fuel Prices. We have already written to Parliament with the intention to amend the VAT act and RMLF.

Below are the proposed measures to ease prices.

Reduce the importers and distributors margin by Ksh 4.

Provision of an additional subsidy Ksh 5 Billion for diesel from the Fuel Stabilization Fund. With a monthly consumption of 202 Million liters – Ksh 24.75 per liter.

Reduce VAT by 8% and make the products exempt.

Reduce Ksh 7 Fuel levy that was added in 2024.

The measures will reduce price of Super Petro to Ksh 187.38 and Diesel to Ksh 189.16.

All these proposals are intermediary measures for short and near medium term.

The corrupt politician, judge or civil servants in Kenya who endlessly steal from the public coffers and accumulate wealth beyond their need don't do so because of greed, poverty, high cost of living or personal/family needs. They steal because of mental condition that induces them to steal, forces them to keep stealing and accumulate wealth beyond their needs. These individuals are mentally sick and suffer from a compulsive stealing disorder to steal and accumulate wealth without end. Just like the paedophile, the psychopath, bipolar and other mental disorders, stealing from the public by Kenyan public servants is a mental condition and not an economic issue or legal inefficiency matter. For public officers who are Muslims an intensive "Quran saar" sessions will cure them. For other Kenyans, we need to provide therapy and clinical tests to help them stop stealing even when they really don't need the money. So next time you see a high ranking politician, a judge or civil servant taking a bribe, please know that he/she is labouring under a mental condition that hasn't been correctly diagnosed.

What I find strange today is that many people are only now realizing that affordable housing is likely a white elephant project.

Some of us said this early and were insulted for it.

Let me explain it in simple terms.

Imagine you’re a governor with KSh 20 billion for development, and your goal is to loot without making it obvious.

Do you steal all the money directly? No, you will be busted

So you build, let’s say 100 ECDE centres.
10 are built where children actually exist, and schools are needed.

The other 90?
You build in scattered places with little or no demand.

Why?

Because the real business is not the school. The area already has enough ECDEs, but you need the money
The real business is the construction.
That’s where the money is made.

You ensure that your companies or your friends' companies receive the supply contracts, etc. They inflate the costs. You control the suppliers.
Sell cement, steel, sand, transport at 2x or 3x the real price. If you are the president, you order that the supplies be tax-exempt.

Multiply that across 90 projects, and suddenly, over 10 billion is moved to your account as profits.

And if anyone questions you?
You point at the buildings and say:
“Look, I delivered development.” But in reality, the ECDEs are empty

That’s the beauty of this model.

It hides looting inside visible infrastructure.

The buildings exist.
The money is gone.
The public is left with empty structures.
And governors have used this script before.

Now look at Affordable Housing.

The government is building thousands of units, including in places where demand is questionable, where land is cheap, and where many people would rather buy land and build their own homes.

Yes, houses in major towns and cities will sell.
But many outside those demand zones?
They risk becoming empty blocks.

And by then, the contractors, suppliers, and politically connected businesses will already have made their billions and moved out of govt.

That is how modern public looting works.
It no longer steals in darkness.
It steals through projects.
