I ran into one of the Buffalo Sabres in the elevator at the Prague hotel. They were in town to play the New Jersey Devils. He invited me to the game but I was performing that night.
@DavidWondrich Willie Nelson for sheer numbers, but his quarterlies must’ve been something to behold back in the day. Several renditions of “Help Me Make It Through The Night” ruled the airwaves. “Bobby McGee”. You know what, I’d give movies a shot, too!
He had a lot of Elvis in him. RIP.
Bar world content creators, can we please stop using strainers and such to open bottles? Just use the bottle opener. It’s much safer and lessens the chance of glass shards in bottle.
Had the pleasure to see John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers in the 80’s at the old Ritz. He was awesome and the show culminated with an appearance by Bluesbreakers alum and former Rolling Stone, Mick Taylor. They rocked a “Can’t You Hear Me Knockin’” to boot. RIP Mr. Mayall.

Now, through her book,The Cocktail Parlor, Dr. Nice insightfully chronicles history’s most influential hostesses, firmly placing these extraordinary women in their rightful position at the forefront of the dawn of the cocktail tradition.”
