A sitting President of the United States stood before a cheering crowd in Grand Island before the midtems, and said, “They (Iran) can take out a city. Let them take out Los Angeles. Let them take out San Diego. This is a very small price to pay.”
Donald Trump made the remarks in Grand Island, #Nebraska while defending the costs of the Iran war and arguing that the "little" higher gas prices were a “small price to pay” for keeping America and the world safe.
But #LosAngeles and San Diego are not a “small price.”
They are American cities. They are home to millions of Americans.
Terming the President "deranged and dangerous", #California Governor @GavinNewsom responded to the remarks sharply on X, saying, “After sending the National Guard and Marines to occupy California, #DonaldTrump is now saying our foreign enemies should ‘take out’ Los Angeles and San Diego."
Meanwhile, @CityOfSanDiego Mayor @ToddGloria was equally clear, “San Diego is not collateral damage. We are not expendable. And we are never a ‘small price to pay.'" He urged Trump, "Keep our city out of your reckless war talk.”
But the issue here goes far beyond partisan politics and mental derangement. His statements could amount to treason, solicitation of violent crimes and incitement for genocide as per law.
The President is the Commander in Chief, entrusted with protecting the United States and its people. Publicly speaking about an enemy “taking out” American cities demands serious scrutiny of presidential judgment, responsibility and fitness for office.
The least expected from a #President is constitutional accountability for his actions and words.
The Constitution provides mechanisms including impeachment for “Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors,” while Section 4 of the 25th Amendment provides a process where a President is determined to be unable to discharge the powers and duties of the office.
Whatever one's politics, one principle can never be controversial. No American city, family, or life is a "small price to pay" no matter what the supposed "benefits", and a President who does not respect or recognize this principle is unfit for office.
The fact that Trump spoke of American lives as a "small price" knowing that those lives would never be his or his loved ones' makes the statement more disgusting than anything.
These midterms, when you go out to #vote, #GoBlue to bring back an #America we know, love, and hope to leave behind for our kids.

The takeaway from #KatieZacharia's short stint as the #WhiteHouse Press Secretary was not the embarrassment she brought upon herself and the White House, but the absolute lack of accountability in those holding positions of power in the federal government under the Donald Trump-led GOP.
President #DonaldTrump was not merely technically incorrect while calling her "an attorney", he qualified for misrepresentation.
It was only because of relentless, unforgiving scrutiny by various media outlets and complaints by watchdog groups that Trump's "devoted fan" resigned from a post for which her only qualification, perhaps, was being a #MAGA supporter.

After voting 23 times against paid sick leave since 1985, #Republican Senator #MitchMcConnell missed 92 days of work this summer - and got paid $45,000 for it, from your tax money.
Meanwhile, mothers in the #UnitedStates still don't get a single paid day of leave after birthing a child.
No federal law provides for it.
There is no concept of a paid family leave either.
When alleged pedophiles and crooks lead the government, this seems inevitable perhaps.
This is why we are hoping that this time when the #BlueWave comes, it takes down hypocritical misogynists like #MitchMcConnell, the #EpsteinCase accused persons and other #republican hypocrites with it.

A family-run #American business which paid over $520,000 in import duties in less than a month has sued the #DonaldTrump-led administration for its imposition of 50% #tariffs on certain Canadian goods.
The Gellert Global Group, a third-generation family business dealing in dairy products, has imported #Canadian cheese for around 100 years.
However, having become an unsuspecting victim of Trump’s arbitrary trade tariffs, it reportedly had to pay over $520,000 in duties between September 16 and October 11.
The company said Trump’s use of tariffs on Canadian #dairy will cost them an unsustainable US$40 million a year.
This is just one family-owned American business. How many others would have been affected is anybody's guess.
After having spent years cultivating relationships with suppliers, retailers, logistic-partners on both sides of the border, whimsical Donald Trump’s tariffs on trade threaten the entire supply chain eco-system with disruption, pushing family-owned American businesses to the brink.
The Trump administration in August imposed a whopping 50% trade tariff on certain Canadian goods, a fallout of the failed trade talks with Canada.
The failure stemmed from Trump’s last-minute demands restricting Canada’s independent Free Trade Agreement with other countries, and challenged Canadian cultural and language policies.
Unsurprisingly, Canadians refused the demands leading to the collapse in trade talks. #Trump being himself, blamed the Canadians for the failure.
Subsequently, he imposed the tariffs on Canada expecting it to relent to his bullying.
However, #Canada in turn imposed retaliatory dollar-for-dollar tariffs on US products.
The implication: hundreds of thousands of citizens and hundreds of businesses of two countries are now paying higher duties only because tyrant Trump didn’t get his way.
But what’s even more unsettling is the Trump administration’s enactment of a near obsolete law to impose the tariffs.
The administration invoked Section 338 of the “Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act” of 1930 (we’re in 2026) which allows up to 50% tariffs on imports from countries found to discriminate against American businesses.
However, in doing so, the administration has bypassed newer laws – Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974 in particular.
This act requires investigations, more importantly – public comment, and other safeguards; and is designed to override Section 338. Even if leeway is granted on invocation of Section 338 the administration waited only 7-days instead of the mandated 30-days to collect the tariffs. With no plausible reason for bypassing the mandated time period.
The invocation of depression era laws to coerce a long-time friend and ally to bend your way is beneath an honoured statesmanship.
It’s an embarrassment for Americans.
Sara Albrecht, chairman and CEO of the Liberty Justice Center with whose representation Gellert has filed the lawsuit, rightly said in a statement, “This case is not about the president. It is about the presidency. No president should have the power to pull a dormant statute off the shelf and use it to impose sweeping tariffs or import bans without the limits Congress required."
Currently, even though the Gellert Global Group, in launching the lawsuit challenging the legality of the tariffs has picked a fight for all, they continue to pay the significantly higher import duties.
Trump's tariffs which were supposed to aid America, are only troubling Americans.
Furthermore, the Trump administration also shows no signs of reproachment with the Canadians, imperilling long standing relationships between people and businesses on both sides of the border.
One merely wonders when and if at all there will come a time when the tyrant stops burning bridges and then asking us to pay for it.

Questioned on the cost of living riots in France being pinned on the Iran war started by him, President #DonaldTrump shrugged it off as "fake news" initially, before apologizing when he found out the name of the outlet.
The incident which raises yet more questions about Trump's integrity (as if there weren't enough already) took place on Monday in the White House grounds before Trump's #Kansas rally.
It indicates how not only does the President have favourites in the media who have been given the exclusive freedom to question him, but also that his maligning of news reportage as "fake news" is based on nothing except that favouritism.
@realDailyWire reporter Mary Margaret had asked about Macron linking the French riots to the Iran war and Trump.
Macron said in a televised speech earlier that "demonstrators expressed concern about the cost of living and the price of fuel. Both are driven by the conflict launched in the Persian Gulf, a conflict in which France has taken no part but whose consequences we are suffering."
However, deflecting instead of answering the question, Trump simply warned about how Paris could become a 'Muslim city', and that the protests were apparently because of France's open borders.
Protests over the rising cost of living have brought together nearly 200,000 students, climate activists, former "Yellow Vests," and farmers on the streets in France, ahead of the presidential election. This included 40,000 in #Paris alone reportedly.
While France burns because of war it neither started nor participated in, and commoners across the world bear the consequences of rising #fuel prices, the man who started it all is still empowered to wreak more havoc as per his whims.
When you go out to #vote in the #midterms - think about these commoners, think about your loved ones, your children, and yourself.

#AbolishICE: Once a political demand, now a humanitarian plea
On October 8, in #NYC's Marble Hill neighbourhood, #ICE agents opened fire on a man sitting inside his vehicle. A five-year-old child was in the car when the shots were fired.
The incident reportedly unfolded at approximately 4 PM, shortly after schools had let out, on a residential street crowded with families and children.
According to @NYCMayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani, masked federal agents wearing #construction vests surrounded the vehicle before opening fire.
The man was injured and hospitalised. Miraculously, the child escaped without physical injury.
The Department of Homeland Security @DHSgov defended the operation as a targeted attempt to arrest an undocumented Dominican national with a criminal history and alleged gang associations.
But in an attempt to cover up its tracks perhaps, the official DHS statement on its X account failed to even so much as mention or try to defend why its agents opened fire on a vehicle seating a five-year-old child.
Does the immigration status of an individual justify exposing a child to potentially deadly gunfire?
Mayor Mamdani has demanded an end to ICE operations in New York City, declaring, "Get ICE out of our neighborhoods. Get ICE out of our hospitals. Get ICE off our streets. Get ICE away from our children. Abolish ICE."
New York Governor @KathyHochul has echoed the outrage, describing ICE as a rogue federal agency whose actions have left immigrant communities terrified and demanding immediate answers from federal authorities.
And therein lies the larger question confronting #America today.
When an agency entrusted with enforcing the law becomes a source of terror for the very communities it seeks to defend, who will protect the people from those entrusted to protect them?
Immigration enforcement cannot come at the cost of human lives, fundamental rights or the safety of innocent #children.
Nor should the demand for accountability be dismissed as a partisan disagreement between Democrats and Republicans.
We need to get back to the #America where this was not a subject of DEBATE.
A five-year-old child should never have to sit through a barrage of gunfire simply because federal agents have decided to conduct an immigration operation.

How far will Donald Trump go to avert the upcoming midterms disaster for Republicans? What role will Trump's "grim reaper" Russ Vought play?
“We have some big surprises coming up in another few weeks, right, Russ? He's going to be one of the very important people in the history of our country, in my opinion.”
In a rather ominous public call-out, President #DonaldTrump singled out Russ Vought, Director of the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB), hinting at major developments in the weeks leading up to the November 3 #Midterms.
The statement raises two important questions.
Why Russ Vought? And what exactly are these surprises?
To understand the significance of Trump's remarks, one must first consider the political situation confronting his administration.
Lately, #Trump seems to be coming to grips with an uncomfortable political reality.
With his #Approval rating at a record low of 32%, according to the latest Reuters/Ipsos poll, and Democrats leading Republicans 44% to 37% among registered voters, the prospect of losing control of #Congress is a very real possibility.
And this is no surprise. It comes against the backdrop of Trump's own policy decisions and growing dissatisfaction amongst the average #Americans over the direction of his presidency.
Despite Trump's self-proclamations about America, that "we've never done better", the average American has been plagued by rising cost of living, inflation, the Iran war, controversies involving historic American landmarks (the Reflecting Pool, the Arlington Cemetery), strained relations with longstanding foreign allies (Italy, Greenland, Canada), and the killing/ jailing up of American citizens in the garb of immigration enforcement!
The list is endless.
(If this is Trump's better, perhaps Americans were better off worse?)
It is against this backdrop that Trump's mysterious reference to #RussVought assumes particular significance.
What can Russ do?
As the director of the OMB (United States Office of Management and Budget) he has direct influence on spending priorities and control over the distribution of federal funds - which can prove to be a game changer for a ruling administration.
The OMB, under Russ, can be utilized to formulate and implement policies and funds targeting the voters' mindset in favor of Trump and garner voter sympathy for the GOP, while eroding memories of the harrowing times faced by Americans since the start of the Trump administration.
As the architect of #Project2025, he has been instrumental in consolidating control of all agencies with the White House - aligning them to a Conservative mindset.
So President Trump's mention of Russ hinting a surprise before the midterms indicates the latter would be playing an instrumental role in the days leading to the election.
This should be worrying for every American concerned about free and fair elections and democratic values.

It seems President @DonaldJTrump has done something unthinkable, again.
In an interview with Fox News, ambassador (to China) @DavidPerdueGA said “President Trump continues to say, ‘Hey, we sell arms to other people around the world,’” adding “He actually asked President Xi, would he like to buy some at one point.”
For context, US law strictly prohibits arms sales to China. Butt Trump's offer to #China would not just defy law, but also logic.
The offer basically translates into Trump wanting to sell weapons to Iran's most powerful ally at the same time as he uses them against #Iran!
It is a claim that President Trump has denied but if anyone thinks about it carefully, diplomats do not make unfounded statements, ever.
It is apparent President Trump mentioned this to President Xi but decided to roll back on his words; perhaps because he was later educated by officials trying to save face about the President making promises to the US’ adversaries.
That too, not just any adversary, but China - a country that Washington officially identifies as its primary strategic and economic competitor.
Let's delve a little deeper into the implications of such a statement.
The US still has considerable edge over its adversaries by means of commanding an arsenal of high-tech sophisticated weapons, which is the basis of national security.
That advantage acts as a deterrent for the country’s adversaries to engage militarily. And here the President of the country has offered to sell, quite literally, the national security away to its biggest rivals.
Allies of #America would be dumbfounded that their strongest defence partner in mutual security engagements, has decided to effectively sell itself out.
Former and current officials were scrambling to mitigate the unforeseen damage that the President's loose remarks may have caused. The @WhiteHouse and the State Department both clarified that the U.S. government has no plans to sell weapons to China.
So thankfully, Americans do not need to worry about the President's gaffe for now... until his next gaffe (which may just be around the corner).
The White House and the State Department's remarks may have woken Trump up this time, to eat his words.
But how long will this circus of a Presidency go on?
Today, we can go to bed today in peace thanking the foresight of some of our predecessors who put the law into place to bridle whimsical tyrants like Trump, but what about tomorrow?!
#Trump #TuckFrump #USA #ForeignPolicy #XiJinping
Today we would touch a very sensitive topic. Family separation under the garb of #immigration enforcement. Alternatively, state sponsored family destruction.
Let us see why the above holds true. Our country is the land of opportunity that attracts immigrants who want a better life for themselves and their families.
In most cases, they have settled down and have had children who get naturalized US citizenship.
However, under the Trump administration #ICE has a free hand in executing a brutal policy - #immigrants having pending asylum hearings, petty infractions, or just happening to be at the wrong place at the wrong time can be easily sent to #DetentionCenters without any consideration of their #children.
Law enforcement officers and deputies, by regulations, need to inform ICE about any immigrants they come across while executing their duties.
Subsequently, if ICE reverts on the immigrant’s status of have allegedly missed an asylum hearing, have a standing #Deportation order, or even a minor infraction against them, the law enforcement agencies are mandated to take immediate action of sending them to a #detentionfacility for processing.
In most cases it turns out the immigrant is either a father or a mother to a minor, or worse, if two immigrants are being charged, they turn out to be #parents for a minor.
Little to no time is provided to handover children to a local guardian. The humane action of addressing the well-being of children is lost - intentionally.
The Trump administration, knowingly has formulated a federal policy that separates children from their parents over even the most minor infractions.
Isn’t that a violation of #humanrights?
On the global arena, the US touts itself to be a guardian of humanitarian causes, yet in her own backyard policies designed to split families are being formulated and enforced.
Such a travesty. The anguish caused to parents separated from their children; the fear, the uncertainty, the traumatic loss suffered by children at the loss of their parents - is this what we want to be know for?
President Trump portrays himself to be a Christian, but seems to be going against the principles of #christianity itself.
No Christian condones family breakups. Yet, here he is stopping at nothing to split families, leave children vulnerable and parents anguished.
If we do not act now, we will have failed not just those children who are orphaned by the Trump-administration even as their parents live, but the very values America & Christianity stand for.

#DonaldTrumpJr's ex & US Ambassador to Greece Kimberly Guilfoyle says the #US can bring down a government in "any country we want", including #Greece
Now under the scanner for "inappropriate uses of an official position" in pushing a specific company for gas deals across South-Eastern Europe, Guilfoyle earlier made questionable diplomatic remarks while in #Athens - in the tone and tenor of soft threats.
According to reporting by the Wall Street Journal, during a March 18 dinner in Athens, Guilfoyle referred to the expected collapse of #Romania’s government and was quoted as saying, “We can do that to any country we want. We can do that here.”
Responding quickly, the #Greek government rejected any suggestion that the comment represented a threat against Athens, saying such a threat would never be tolerated and stressing that Greek-US relations remain strong.
But what happened in Romania shortly after such remarks by her, has raised uncomfortable questions.
In March, Guilfoyle travelled to Bucharest, where she met senior members of Romania’s Social Democratic Party, including PSD leader Sorin Grindeanu and then-energy minister Bogdan Ivan.
Grindeanu has said the discussions concerned Romania’s role in the Vertical Gas Corridor and has rejected suggestions of improper coordination with #Washington.
The project is designed to move gas northwards from
Greece through countries including #Bulgaria and Romania, creating an important route for American #LNG into southeastern and eastern Europe.
Guilfoyle was publicly promoting the corridor and greater purchases of US liquefied natural gas.
Then came the political rupture in Romania...
In April, the PSD withdrew from Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan’s governing coalition. On May 5, PSD joined the nationalist AUR and others in a no-confidence motion that removed Bolojan’s government by 281 votes, well above the 233 required!
The fall of the government had several documented causes, particularly bitter disagreements over austerity, taxation and deficit reduction. Reporting has also highlighted tensions over energy policy and American LNG.
But now Romanian politicians are demanding answers about the March meetings.
As centre-right politician Siegfried Mureşan put it, Grindeanu and his #PSD colleagues need to explain what was discussed and what objectives they were pursuing.
The timing matters because Romania can scarcely afford another prolonged political crisis. The country’s instability has already put EU funding, fiscal consolidation and its investment-grade sovereign credit rating under pressure.
S&P currently rates Romania at the lowest investment-grade level with a negative outlook, while Moody’s and Fitch have also raised concerns.
And the crisis is still not over. On October 1, parliament rejected Mureşan’s proposed centre-right cabinet, prolonging a political deadlock that has lasted since May.
So the central question is not whether US involvement has been proven.
The question is why an American ambassador was reportedly talking about the impending fall of Romania’s government, saying “we can do that to any country we want,” before travelling to Bucharest, meeting politicians who later helped bring that government down, and simultaneously promoting major American energy interests.
Romania deserves transparency about what was discussed, by whom, and for whose benefit, as do Americans about the risks American diplomacy is facing with diplomats like Guilfoyle.

[In the run-up to the midterms, it's our endeavour to bring to light as many inconsistencies, fallacies, and blatant lies of the Donald Trump-administration to light as we can, so that Americans feel compelled to go out and vote in large numbers. With each passing day under the @realDonaldTrump administration an average American wonders "what’s next?".
An increasing number of Americans are starting to grow uneasy each time they flip through the news - dreading each statement of @POTUS.
Among the latest slew of random absurdities thrown by Trump one statement stands out in particular "...with the exception of oil, everything is going down..."
A statement which is at best a clear sign of delusion. And every regular #American marvels at the sheer absurdity of it. It's almost like Donald Trump's very own "let them eat cake" moment.
The absurdity stems from the fact that from the start of the Iran war, the year-over-year inflation has only spiked.
Gas, on which the country runs, has risen more than 30% at the pump. With trucks handling 60-70% of freight by weight and trains handling 8-10%, how does one even expect commodity prices to fall when this major input cost has risen sharply?
Major consumer categories rose faster than the 4.3% overall increase led by gas prices (34%), natural gas (12%), electricity (~8%), clothing and housing (5%), and with groceries closing in at 3.4%.
It is not disputed that since the start of the unwanted war prices across the board have increased.
Farmers are bearing the brunt of high-priced phosphate and nitrogen, crucial for fertilizers.
Skyrocketing prices for diesel have pushed transportation costs far higher than inflation. The lopsided tariff and trade war, which is not being talked about much, has already affected clothing and other daily item prices.
Therefore, it only raises eyebrows when one hears from a man who has never stepped into a grocery store statements like “prices are going down”, and the “country has never done better before”.
It legit raises the question – which country is Donald Trump talking about?!

American soldiers are now fighting two battles. It is apparent.
One against the Iranian regime and the other against misinformation peddled by President Donald Trump. But the veil of lies peddled by Donald Trump that the war is “small potatoes” has been lifted with the receipt of photographic evidence.
The photographs submitted anonymously by soldiers shows destroyed American bases, several aircraft, multiple vehicles, and associated equipment. In fact, the damage to diplomatic installations alone has cost taxpayers $184 million.
Further, a recent report released by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) reveals the extent of the direct financial impact the war on the treasury. Between February 28 and June 29, the war has costed an estimated $33.40 billion. The estimate does not cover the cost for infrastructure repairs and with no signs of the war ending soon, the actual figure would be higher.
The US Department of Defense claims another $7.40 billion in costs linked to the conflict with $3.7 billion worth of equipment lost to Iranian attacks.
The attacks have inflicted widespread damage on US military facilities across the region, with hundreds of buildings and structures damaged or destroyed at American installations in Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman and Jordan.
This proves the actual effectiveness of the regime’s military might which till now was shrouded in secrecy by Trump. However, few are talking of a looming threat – Depleted Ammunition.
The ongoing conflict has resulted in American military intensively using its munitions resulting in “strategic inventory shortfalls” and exposed “industrial base bottlenecks” that are hampering efforts to replenish weapons.
This is a welcoming consequence for US’ adversaries who keep an eye out on her weaknesses.
American military contractors estimate three years to restore stocks of some of the advanced missiles and interceptors to pre-war levels, leaving her vulnerable to threats of major conflicts.
The cost of the conflict compounded by the shocking revelation of strategic inventory shortfalls should be enough for coax Trump to exit this war.
Americans no longer wish to be embroiled in a costly war on top of an already existing humungous debt of $40 trillion.
The world doesn’t want this conflict either. It’s high time Trump stop this war.
In his latest tirade at the UN General Assembly, U.S. President Donald Trump labelled the International Criminal Court (ICC) as “evil”, “rogue” and “out of control”, calling on its members to resign immediately.
But the U.S. is not even a member of the ICC, then why was Trump targetting the ICC?
Established in 2002, the ICC is an institution operating independent of the UN and committed to providing justice to humanity by means of prosecuting individuals accused of genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity when national authorities are unable or incapable of doing so.
The US' bombing of a girls' school is an Iran, for instance, is an alleged war crime, but Trump's ire at the ICC goes back to something else.
The Trump administration has intensified its attacks on the personnel of the institution since November 2024, when the court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant over alleged war crimes in Gaza.
Netanyahu is the same man thanks to whom the U.S. was dragged into a forever war with Iran in which 18 U.S. servicemen lost their lives, and which has sent oil and essential commodities' prices skyrocketing, with no signs of ending.
In the latest salvo against justice on war crimes, the Trump administration has also prepared sanctions against the ICC as an institution as opposed to earlier sanctions on only the courts' key personnel.
The move, if materialized, would severely undermine the institutions’ ability to operate freely as the sanctions would prohibit US citizens and companies from providing funds, goods, or services to the court without an approval or license from the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
Banks are known to comply with such sanctions given their dependency on access to the American financial system.
The sanctions would affect the purchasing, service and maintenance of IT systems, insurance, hiring of investigators, financial transactions of any nature which are crucial to the operations of the ICC.
With the threat of such crippling sanctions, the Trump administration has once again demonstrated its willingness to use unscrupulous means in its attempt to bend an independent body diligently carrying out its duties, only in order to protect its “friends”.

Trump-appointed U.S. District Judge Tim Kelly restrains for 2 weeks Trump's ban on Politico, CNN and MS NOW which restricted their access to the White House. The court deemed that the ban "likely violated the media houses' constitutional due process rights".
The sudden ban from the White House was based on Trump's own allegations of false or negative coverage by them, which many believe to have been motivated by Trump's controversial aide Natalie Harp.
The abrupt ban opened debate on whether their Fifth Amendment due process rights had also been violated by the administration.
Judge Kelly wrote on this that members of the press were entitled to fair notice from the Government on why their credentials may be revoked and an opportunity to argue their case with the Government as to why their credentials should be preserved.
The ban on CNN, MS NOW, Politico invoked a rare act of solidarity within the media with the rest of the networks also refusing to step in to cover the President and continue press pool duties.
The press pool was created by the White House Correspondents’ Association decades ago to ensure a rotating roster of journalists accompanying the President be it at the Oval office, Airforce One, or at State Dinners.
The WHCA selects the members of the pool of which CNN, MS NOW, Politico are also a part. The effort is designed to hold the nation’s chief executive accountable on behalf of the American public, providing information on the president’s activities and the work of the executive branch.
Donald Trump has been at loggerheads with the media from the start of the second term, often failing to get his way with the fourth estate and then getting flustered about it.
The fair and transparent coverage of President Trump's activities which are hurting his approval ratings (the latest at 29%) apparently hasn't been well received by him.
But the move to shun transparency and bring in a state-controlled 'Trump TV' has only backfired spectacularly as Americans protest against the egregious violations of their fundamental rights.
Irked by the media's unbiased coverage, the Trump administration has attempted to influence the tone of the media coverage by picking journalists who are apparently favorable to Trump.
This move would give executive control over coverage of the American presidency, to the Trump Administration. However, that attempt has been stymied by Judge Kelly's order.
Had the Trump administration succeeded in continuing the ban a rather dangerous precedent would have been set for future presidencies, resulting in Americans losing faith in their courts alongwith the administration.
A grave betrayal of the public's trust and sentiments, something even a Trump-appointed Judge could not help but nip in the bud!
Thank you Judge Kelly.

Yet another cringe-worthy play under the Presidency of Donald Trump - the scene of an American President devoid of any trailing media cover, arriving at the #UN General Assembly.
Following an abrupt ban imposed on CNN, Politico, and MS NOW from entering the White House, media coverage of the President's activities has significantly dropped. And unsurprisingly so!
The most notable evidence was when no TV coverage was provided for the inaugural ceremony of the White House's new Helipad, as President Trump was left with no microphone for addressing the press.
A helpless Trump flailed about even more pathetically at the UN General Assembly, lost for answers when CNN reporter Kaitlan Collins asked for comments on a poll reflecting that two-thirds of Americans don’t think the US is winning the Iran war.
Doing what he does best, Trump took a swipe at Kaitlan saying they (CNN) shouldn’t be there (the UN General Assembly Building) at all, at which she reminded him that the UN had allowed them in!
It is both embarrassing and unfortunate that he is unable to decipher the difference between the White House and UN General Assembly building!
Sidelined by these mainstream media channels, Trump has now launched a dedicated YouTube Channel called “Trump TV” dedicated to providing coverage of the President’s and his administrations 'achievements'.
Whether “Trump TV” falls into category of state-controlled TV is anybody's guess.
On the other hand, despite the dispute between CNN and Trump, the former has chosen to still provide coverage of the latter’s activities as they seem committed to their duty of providing accurate information to their viewers.
Clearly, President Trumps’ whims, taunts, and tantrums aren't able to dislodge the media from bringing the country the truth about their President.

National Park Service's revised assessment of the proposed Trump Arch construction in the Memorial Circle warns of "adverse effects" to historic sites which "cannot be fully avoided". Vietnam War veterans have also sued to stop the project which would, amongst other things, block views to the Arlington National Cemetery.
Even as the White House claimed that the Arch will "enhance the visitor experience at Arlington National Cemetery for veterans", US Army Maj. Gen. Paul Eaton (Retd.) who trained Iraqi forces in the Iraq war (and whose father who also served America was laid to rest in the Arlington Cemetery) called the arch a "sacrilege", speaking to PBS News Hour.
Gold Star mother Karen Meredith, whose son died in the Iraq War, said in the same coverage, "We don't need tourists overlooking funerals".
Yet, the narcissistic project - which Trump himself said last year, was meant for himself - will continue anyway for now.
Proposed to be located at the western end of Arlington Memorial Bridge between the Lincoln Memorial and Arlington National Cemetery - the final resting place for 400,000 service members and families, the arch is to stand at a height of 250 ft as a monumental gateway commemorating the 250th anniversary of the American Independence.
However, a brief study into the intricacies of the proposal has lifted the veil revealing a self-glorifying exercise of Donald Trump.
The arch is designed to overlook the Arlington National Cemetery with a “Tourist Observation Deck”.
The mere thought of having tourists pouring over a sacred site is repulsive. Anyone with reverence for the sacrifice of the servicemen and their families would flinch at the thought of reducing the cemetery to a tourist attraction.
Yet, the families of our national heroes must bear with this torture if Trump is not stopped.
Fathom the distress caused to the military veterans who defended the freedom of the country and the anguish caused to families of service members buried at Arlington.
Military veterans across the country have voiced their opposition to the arch, even filing lawsuits but it seems to be falling into deaf ears.
President Trump, however, is busy ignoring their pleas while seeking support and funds from donors. “Our veterans are the ones that should like it,” Trump said. “It’s called the Triumphal Arch. It’s in honor of the veterans.”
With the Trump administration unwilling to back away from this proposal, the veterans now find themselves fighting a battle for the honor of their fallen brothers-in-arms.
Are these the actions of a patriot? Bringing pain to the very families whose members sacrificed themselves in the service of America?!

In a widely circulated moment of Donald Trump's latest misogynistic behavior, Trump lunged and cut-off a female reporter asking him a fact-checking question on his proposed $5,000/- “Trump Dividend”.
It happened when President Trump was boarding his flight in Dallas, after completing his Texas Convention wherein he coaxed the attendees to take an oath to vote, promising a dividend of $5,000 to all adults, if GOP retained majority.
ABC News’ reporter Rachel Scott asked the obvious question – why is President Trump promising a dividend as means of incentivizing people to vote when (as per Trump) the economy is doing well.
To which he blurted a reply saying it is a reward for people for having to put up with Bidens’ policies and the “tough time” during his administration.
However, Rachel didn't stop there. She made a follow-up question on the unfulfilled promise of Tariff Refunds cheques, to which a frustrated Trump answered scathingly, "Not you! Hey! Not you".
It was a give-away that Trump was caught off-guard, not anticipating such persistent questions on his desperate promise.
The $5,000 bribe veiled as a dividend is to fence-in support for the GOP. Being well aware of his all-time low approval ratings has Trump scrounging to garner support, by bribing.
Rachel Scott's unfettered probe into Trump's promise had him dismiss her question, and diss her news channel.
But in doing so he has cemented the notion that not only is he a hateful misogynist, but that his promise is nothing more than a 'carrot' that he doesn't infact intend to give away, regardless of whether GOP retains majority or not.

After ear bandages in solidarity, this seems fairly believable. And that's the worrying part.
The fact that this is fake but for a moment or two it nearly had you like, wait, did they really?! That speaks volumes about the current state of MAGA and American politics.

Under President @realDonaldTrump's administration, Courts have repeatedly been asked to scrutinize the boundaries of detention and deportation, including a September ruling finding that the administration’s mandatory-detention policy without bond hearings was unlawful.
And more often than not, Trump's #immigration enforcement actions have been found to not only be compromising with the due process of law, but also coming with adverse human consequences.
As of August, roughly 1,900 immigrant children were reported to be in federal custody, many of them separated from family members who were prepared to sponsor them. And an appeals court recently ruled that the IRS unlawfully shared taxpayer information with #ICE, bringing to light privacy violations.
That is why political speech matters.
Our “Immigrants Make America Great” print celebrates the people who have built lives, families, businesses and communities here.
And our “Abolish ICE” designs make a deliberately stronger political statement: that immigration enforcement cannot flout due process, shatter family unity and stampede on civil liberties.
These unisex prints are available in various fits and sizes.
For the people who believe #America is strongest when it protects human dignity and the rule of law: these are for you.
Wear your rights, speak your values! Be bold and free, just like America is meant to be.
