> "Halo"
> The theme music is a Gregorian chant.
> The Forerunners built the Ark to survive the Flood.
> John 1:17 - "For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ."
>> Revelation 1:17 - “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last.”
> 'Reclaimer' - Humans are the chosen people similar to Israelites are the chosen people
> The Covenant- a binding pact between God and people
> The (false) Prophets [Truth, Mercy, and Regret]
> Captain Keyes parallels John the Baptist as the one who 'awakens' Master Chief. Later to die by the Flood and is "beheaded"
> Cortana the Holy Spirit that guides
>> Cortana’s pre-CE transmissions even quotes Matthew 10:34 - “I came not to send peace, but a sword.”
> The Arbiter is Paul who once converted becomes Master Chief's biggest supporter and believer
> The Gravemind/Flood is sin, even claiming "I am the monument to all your sin"
>> "One spore can consume a species" - sin spreads, identity is lost
> High Charity once consumed by the Flood is fallen Babylon
> Installation 00 is cataloged as G 617 g which references Genesis 6:17 - “I am going to bring floodwaters on the earth to destroy all life…”
>> Installation 00 is also the Ark of the Covenant. A holy object, deadly to the unworthy, and a weapon.
> Master Chief sacrifices himself to redeem humans by firing the Halo and cleansing the world from sin (flood) then rises again.
> Master Chief is the savior figure. His final words of Halo 3 are the same as Jesus' final words on the cross, "It is finished".
But sure... after all that there really isn't many similarities to the Bible
