Always get up early this day to remember this man. Bing would be married now, be a father, experience the love of his children. The years only elevate his sacrifice.
Too tall to fit in the back of the truck, I cradled him as his life ebbed away that morning. Always consistent, always brave, deeply courageous yet humble and kind. I’ll never forget him, and neither should the Nation. #neverforget
Today we remember Mark “Bing” Chandler.
On 8 June 2010, Bing was killed in action in the Nad ’Ali District of Helmand Province, Afghanistan, aged 33.
A brave soldier, a mate, and a man who made the ultimate sacrifice for his country.
Gone, but never forgotten. 🇬🇧
We have depended for decades on the courage, loyalty, and honour of our soldiers.
This Government is undermining our troops, persecuting them through their atrocious Northern Ireland Troubles Bill.
I questioned the Prime Minister on this today in the @HouseofCommons.

🚨🎙️ Paul Scholes on Jack Grealish being spotted passed out at a bar:
🗣️ “People are quick to laugh at things like this, but they don’t know what’s going on behind closed doors. Jack moved to Manchester City for a huge fee, massive expectations, and things didn’t really go the way many thought they would.
Then you’re sold to Everton, and suddenly the narrative around your career changes. That’s not easy for any player to deal with, especially when you’ve been under the spotlight for years.
We all see the football side, but players have personal battles too. It might not even be football-related — pressure, criticism, expectations, life changes… it all adds up.
Instead of mocking him, maybe people should understand that sometimes players are human first. Not everything you see like this is just about attitude — sometimes it’s someone going through a difficult period.”
Checked into Dipper Cottage at @kidlandleeNE , deep in the Northumberland hills. Off-grid with the family, cold Fresh Pulp in hand from @BuxtonBrewery 🍺🗻🌳
Great visit to London yesterday with my lad . Wembley Stadium tour, then over to Camden Market before heading back up north. Flying visit but absolutely worth it. ⚽️🇬🇧
Alex Yee has been confirmed as a pacemaker at the 2026 London Marathon 🔥
The Olympic triathlon champion will be tasked with pacing Emile Cairess, the leading British athlete in the field.
Yee will be returning a favour to Cairess who paced him for 21 miles at last December’s Valencia Marathon and helped the triathlon star to finish in a time of 2:06:38 – the second fastest time ever by a British athlete 🇬🇧
Yee made his London Marathon debut in 2025 when he finished as the second British finisher and 14th overall in 2:11:08.
Molly Mae & Tommy Fury are not your mates, Why are you reposting them on your feeds, they don't even know you exist, you don't even support your friends when they have a baby 😂
