You may not have gotten the promotion you were promised.
You might not be recognized the way you deserve.
You might even feel stuck—undervalued, overlooked, or forgotten.
But let me tell you something I’ve learned the hard way:
Just because it’s not permanent doesn’t mean it’s pointless.
You are where you are for a reason.
Even if it’s short term.
Even if it’s not where you thought you'd be.
Even if no one seems to notice.
I've been there—more than once.
And looking back, I wouldn’t trade those seasons for anything.
Because they shaped me.
Stretched me.
And ultimately led me to the purpose I walk in today.
So if you’re feeling stuck...
Hold on.
Keep showing up.
Keep believing.
Because your current position might just be preparing you for your real one.
Better than self help is God help. The creator of the universe who created you, loves you, has a plan for you, is with you and is for you. Just ask. Just trust. Just believe.
In Finland, 95% of teachers stay until retirement. They have more planning time, teach less each day compared to the US, and have more local control over what they teach. The focus is on project-based learning instead of testing, which helps foster creativity and critical thinking. Finland's students consistently perform well on international assessments like PISA in high school. Oh and they have been ranked the world's happiest country for seven years in a row. Sadly a lot of what they do now they learned from us in the 1970's.
