Police in the Zambezi Region are investigating a case of culpable homicide after an accident occurred today in the Mpyuu area along the B8 Ngoma Road.
According to the police report, a 36-year-old man, Sanzila Nyambe, was driving from Ngoma towards Katima Mulilo when he collided with a cow that was on the road, which caused him to lose control of the vehicle and crash into a tree.
Nyambe, together with two passengers identified as Benjamin Muhinda (33) and Dina Nalisa (26), sustained injuries and were transported to Katima Mulilo State Hospital by ambulance for medical treatment.
Upon arrival at the hospital, Nyambe was pronounced dead, while the two passengers sustained injuries of varying severity and are currently receiving medical treatment.
Next of kin have been informed, and police investigations continue.
