Success Story: Tashi Yangke – A Ray of Hope from Ramyang Village
Tashi Yangke, a determined girl from the remote village of Ramyang in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh, turned adversity into ambition. Raised in a humble farming family near the Indo-Bhutan border, her early life was marked by hardships, including the tragic loss of her mother due to the lack of medical facilities. Despite this, her family prioritized her education.
Tashi’s journey changed when she got selected for @jnv_tawang through the JNVST 2017 exam.
There, with support from her teachers, she excelled academically, eventually securing 2nd position in Tawang district in Class XII.
Her dedication earned her a place at the Dakshana Foundation’s coaching centre in Pune through a 100% scholarship. In 2025, she cleared the NEET exam with a state-level rank of 19 in her category, taking a significant step toward her dream of becoming a doctor.
Tashi now aims to pursue MBBS and return to improve healthcare in her village. Her journey is a beacon of hope, showcasing how education and perseverance can transform lives and communities.
