Perhaps the discomfort with certain sex characteristics is real but everything around that is constructed. Like dresses and long hair might be constructed ideas but the desire to conform to them is real.

@UboremeNGL @mkultrapenis98 Sex is a set of primary and secondary sex characteristics. You can change your set of characteristics by transitioning. But you're always born the gender you were born as. So a trans woman was always a woman but transitioned to have female secondary sex characteristics (breasts).

@Spiralhetre That's always the point of course. I just question practicality of the "transition period is a myth" part because it feels difficult to go directly into what Marx called the higher phase of communism without some accounting in between (i.e the lower phase).

Marx said plenty of reprehensible things and held prejudices of his own. Invoking those prejudices to justify people today deliberately using racial slurs for shock value does not justify reproducing them. His own failings aren’t an ethical precedent.
