@clementy_ep My EP says my ICD is there to protect me, not restrict me. Also says I am not allowed to use my device as a reason to not do something. + has approved scuba diving after considering my condition. After discussion w/ patient about risks it should be up to the patient. Go Daley!

@HeartSisters @SallyPcctga @American_Heart @theheartorg Sure! There are few items in daily life that will cause issues when used normally. Most items are only a concern if they are within 6 inches of your chest. If you follow the “don’t hug that” rule you’ll be fine 99% of the time.

On this day two years ago, my perfectly healthy husband had a sudden cardiac arrest in his sleep. I fought back death for ten long minutes with no weapons but my hands and phone. I watched the color change and eventually drain out of his body.
