The little girl (then 5, now 8) cannot sleep. She cannot talk. She blinks to communicate. She got to use her voice for all of 3 or 4 years of her life before it was stolen. She cannot articulate a single word of her trauma and therefore heal, at least psychologically. Perhaps he stalks her in her dreams. She is trapped in her own mind. No way to share her worries, memories, dreams or thoughts of any kind. Her tears must be silent too. Her laughter as well. If indeed she laughs any more. She has to be sedated at times.
If all this isn't enough for you to say "enough" then I am afraid you are both inhuman and inhumane. She is just a little child. This was done to her because of the government and because of a grown man's minor grievance. A man who never should have been here. A man who still requires an interpreter after 26 years. A man who was reported to have seemed "cheerful" and "jocular" when it was put to him that what he did was gravely serious. He has shown no remorse. The victims and family are subjected to a trial. Not that the child can ever give testimony. 40 mins deprived of oxygen to the brain will produce that effect. Will silence your voice. Potentially forever.
That report should be sending off massive alarm bells. Based on the numbers in it, Blackrock Clinic likely earned around €4million last year. Meanwhile children whose families don’t have the ability to pay or without health insurance are left to suffer and slowly deteriorate. Not only that though, prioritising private children is an ableist act.
The complex children often cannot receive treatment in the private system regardless of if they can cover the cost. Harvey had fantastic health insurance, but for him he had to be treated in the public system.
This is discrimination.
This is ableism.
This is systemic neglect.
Definitely get the feeling the tell-all interview with James Lowe when he leaves Leinster Rugby will be fascinating.
One-year offer, Andy Farrell saying publicly he wanted him, questions around IRFU funding, and then all those Champions Cup final and World Cup knockout defeats.
Irishman Experienced Racial Discrimination, Being Sacked [Due to a "Downturn"] While Ukrainians Were Kept on
In June 2026, the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) ruled that Mr. O'Reilly had been discriminated against on the grounds of race (specifically, his nationality) when he was selected for redundancy over his Ukrainian colleagues.
Mr. O'Reilly had worked at the hotel for roughly two and a half years. The hotel was operating under a government contract to provide temporary accommodation for Ukrainian refugees. In early 2025, the hotel claimed it needed to reduce staff because the number of refugees staying there had decreased.
Mr. O’Reilly was the only Irish night porter at the hotel. When the "downsizing" happened, he was the one let go, while Ukrainian staff members who performed the same duties were kept on.
Mr. O'Reilly argued that his duties were reassigned to Ukrainian residents of the hotel who were being paid at a lower rate.
It emerged during the hearing that the hotel had never provided Mr. O’Reilly with a written contract or an employee handbook, and he had been underpaid for bank holidays.
Adjudication Officer Úna Glazier-Farmer found that while the hotel did have a legitimate downturn in business, it failed to show any fair or objective process for why Mr. O’Reilly was chosen for redundancy over his colleagues.
The WRC concluded that because he was treated less favorably than non-Irish staff performing the same role, there was a clear "inference of discrimination" that the employer could not disprove.
The hotel was ordered to pay Mr. O’Reilly a total of €7,340, broken down as:
€5,000 for racial discrimination.
€1,120 for unfair dismissal.
€1,220 for other breaches of employment law (such as the lack of a written contract).
It’s an interesting case because "reverse" discrimination (where a local national is discriminated against in favor of foreign nationals) is less common in legal headlines, but Irish law protects against discrimination based on nationality regardless of which direction it goes.
So, Children’s Health Ireland, the organisation in charge of the sickest and most vulnerable children in Ireland has:
•delayed urological care so much that children are at increased risk of some cancers and infertility-and then not felt it necessary to even alert the families of these children.
•a surgeon on leave after implanting non medical grade metal springs in to children’s spines.
•potential misappropriation of €19million that was supposed to be spent to improve care of children with Spina Bifida and Scoliosis.
•allowed children wait on surgery so long they become inoperable.
•allowed children age out of their care without ever getting the surgery they need.
•children have died due to not receiving surgeries when needed.
•taken and hidden €30,000 from Aramark. The same company that charges extortionate prices in their hospital shop.
•surgeons allegedly performing hundreds of unnecessary hip surgeries on children.
•attempted to fire staff for alerting serious welfare concerns.
•a toxic work environment for staff.
•surgeon/s misusing the NTPF for their own profit.
•refused to publish a large number of reports that may outline other serious issues.
•removed children from surgical lists without informing the parents.
•threatened litigation when parents push back.
•threatened to, and got Tusla involved when parents pushed back.

Anything short of a *Public Tribunal of Inquiry* in to this absolutely negligent organisation would be an insult to all the children and families who have been physically and mentally harmed by this organisation.

Shocking knife attack in North Belfast! A man in his 40s was brutally slashed in the face, eyes, neck, and back. A Sudanese suspect in his 30s has been arrested for attempted murder. Heroes armed with a hurley saved him. Urgent action on safety is needed now. Please share and speak out! 🇮🇪
The last couple weeks in Ireland we’ve seen
- A woman beheaded at an asylum centre
- An Irish men beaten to death in the street by two second generation North African immigrants
- An second-generation African is stabbed to death by a gang of other second-generation Africans
- Racial tension stirred up after a Congolese criminal breaks an Irishman’s hip while stealing and dies while being restrained
The country sure is starting to look like how someone with far right opinions would expect it to.
Maitie Mag Toghearnan has revealed himself as the man who confronted the migrant in Belfast last night.
Faced with unimaginable violence, he chose courage over fear and grabbed a hurley stick to defend his fellow Irish man
Respect 👏
The Irish people did not decide to give control over our nation's borders to a foreign entity.
This traitor took it upon himself to spit on the graves of those brave men and women who sacrificed their lives so that Ireland could hold its head high as a sovereign independent state
The perpetrator of the animalistic behaviour in Belfast today was Sudanese who shockingly got a right to remain in Northern Ireland after coming from Dublin. So this scumbag was walking the streets of Dublin at some point. It’s quite shocking our Taoiseach has nothing to say on the matter.
Harvey’s removal from that spinal list was entirely cruel and unjustified. It feels like he was written off by the people who were supposed to be keeping him safe. 2 years now since he was removed and almost a year now since he died and we still have no answers from CHI. I find it incredibly concerning that the same person who removed Harvey from that list is still working away and making clinical decisions about other vulnerable children. How do we know he hasn’t continued to behave like this even after Anita left?
Have the other families of children wrongfully removed even been informed by CHI? Did they get relisted? Are they still under the care of the same person that instructed their removal?
This inquiry needs to uncover everything, if they try and limit the scope of ot then they are choosing to allow children continue to be neglected.

Family Man Beat To Death By Migrant Teenagers In Dublin.
On Sunday 17 May 2026, at around 4:15pm on Mill Road in Blanchardstown, 37-year-old Alex Coughlan was attacked by two 16-year-old boys without warning.
The defenceless Irishman was forced to his knees, pleading for mercy as one teenager repeatedly punched and kicked him in the head. The second boy filmed the assault on his mobile phone. Alex screamed for help and begged them to stop. He had already handed over his wallet and bank cards, but hesitated when they demanded his gold ring, a gift from his father.
That moment of hesitation cost him his life.
The beating continued. Alex was left unconscious on the ground. He died three days later on 20 May in Connolly Hospital from catastrophic head injuries. His family made the selfless decision to donate his organs.
Two 16-year-old boys were arrested and charged with assault causing serious harm and robbery. The main attacker is a second-generation migrant born and raised in Ireland. The other, who filmed the attack, is a migrant with dual nationality. Both were described by locals as having non-native features.
Gardai later recovered the stolen ring from one of the boys homes, and Alex’s father identified it in court.
The teenagers appeared in Dublin Children’s Court on 27 May. A judge imposed strict reporting restrictions, warning against naming them or sharing the video of the attack circulating online due to their age. Bail was refused, and both teenagers remain remanded in custody.
On Saturday 30 May, what would have been Alex’s 38th birthday, hundreds gathered in Ballyfermot to farewell him. He was remembered as the glue of his family, a kind, gentle, and selfless man who brought laughter and joy to everyone around him.
A dedicated Bupa worker and passionate rugby fan, Alex is survived by his mother Brigid, father John, sister Zara, and brothers Philip and Jack. Mourners sang Happy Birthday and Ireland’s Call. Tributes described him as a truly beautiful soul and caring human being. A private cremation followed at Glasnevin Cemetery.
While Alex’s funeral took place, the Irish mainstream media gave far more coverage and focused far more outrage on the death of Congolese national Yves Sakila, 35. Sakila, who had dozens of previous convictions and multiple prison terms for repeated shoplifting, died on 15 May after being restrained by security staff during another shoplifting attempt. His death was quickly framed by activists as Ireland’s George Floyd moment, sparking protests, political speeches, and claims of racism.
Alex’s killing, a local Irish family man robbed and beaten to death in broad daylight while pleading for mercy received far less attention. Coverage focused on the attackers age and anonymity, with zero discussion of backgrounds or nationalities.
There were no mass candlelit vigils when Alex died, no major protests demanding justice, no political statements, and no national campaigns declaring that his life mattered.
No Netflix documentaries will ever examine Alex's final moments.
Certain tragedies fit a preferred political narrative and ignite weeks of outrage. Others, like the brutal murder of a gentle Irish family man, are treated as less newsworthy. This selective response from the Irish media and political class is an insult to Alex and every family who has lost someone in similar circumstances.
Alex Coughlan’s life mattered. He deserved better, and the people of Ireland deserve the truth.
RIP Alex Coughlan.
Both teenagers are next due in court on 24 June.

Asking why he isn't arrested..he is part of the system. He will not only never be arrested, he will continue to live in an unaccountable manner. Yet Alex is dead. Laid to rest on his birthday.
#AlexCoughlan was living in Roderic O Gorman's small housing estate. He took a Sunday afternoon stroll on a sunny beautiful day. He didn't know it would be his last. He walked by O Gorman house that day. About a one minute walk away he was brutally attacked. Filmed. It was posted online. Alex probably knew he would die.
The accused are Syrian. One hurt his hand during the attack. He was given permission to have his hand tended to at hospital. The judge said they have a right to the presumption of innocence and a right to privacy. Despite that they took pride in their "work". Took pride in the suffering they caused. Didn't have an issue exposing what they did, all by themselves. For clicks. For likes.
A 35 year old muslim man who shouldn't have been here. Robbed two children aged 5 and 9 of their mother. Stole not only her life, but filled her last moments with terror, worrying about what he might do to her children when finished with her. He Stabbed in the neck...many times. Do people understand what that is code for in the media? She wasn't wearing a hijab in her photos. She wanted a better life. She tried. She tried for her children. She did all she could to escape him. She called the Gardaí. He was moved on to some unsuspecting town. But killed her anyway. In an "HONOUR KILLING". That's what it was. You won't hear Umar Al Qadri say that.
One of the worst leaders of our time, clinging on by the skin of his teeth, waiting for the EU presidency so he can retire with a nice EU job! Leaving his party but more importantly the country in a shambles!
All week it has been reported that the Galway tragic death that occurred was committed by another Ipas inhabitant.
RTE news reported tonight he was of NO FIXED ABODE..
So are Ipas Centres now classed as
A no fixed abode..?!
