Jesus instead is the vessel, through which everything came into existence. He is the author/origin of the words "let there be." God is never separated from His word.

Then explain why this particular angel speaks in God's own first person, identifies Himself as God, claims Jacob's vow as being made to Him, gives life as per Hagar's testimony, provides etc.

The central problem is man's broken relationship with God because of sin, and the Gospel is God's work of reconciling man to Himself.

In the Bible, despite the fact that angels are ministering spirit, the one that appeared to Mary is not the he that overshadowed her to conceive Jesus. Gabriel says to her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you...", not "I Gabriel will..."

"The angel of God said to me in the dream…" But when the speaker describes Himself in verse 13, He says: "I am the God of Bethel."
