@TrueTruthToday@Camsiyonna1 (2/2) Also wouldn’t you be stressed if you had the expertise to know you might die at any moment and no one is taking you seriously? Also the prob with docs asking if you’re under stress is that more often it’s just so that they can write you off as having anxiety symptoms.
@TrueTruthToday@Camsiyonna1 I don’t really get your point. Sure maybe her stress might have caused her heart attack (if that’s a real cause) but the debate here isn’t Why she’s having it, it’s whether she’s having it at all.
@AkadeBemsen Hm. I don’t quite know what’s right here. On the one hand - this is very generous. She shouldn’t have been as flippant when texting you.
On the other hand, meaningful gifts should be take into consideration what the recipient wants.
I think my middle daughter is having the best summer of her childhood
She has this group of friends, they're all incoming 5th graders, and their moms and I have a big group chat going where a kid will ask their mom to say "anyone want to ride bikes" and then they start a little band of kids going house to house inviting others to play. Then they head to parks, to coffee shops, jump on the trampoline in their friends' yards.
One good thing though is that the moms are all in touch so even if the kids don't have phones or watches to communicate, we communicate with each other where they are/where they're headed.
They call it their biker gang.
My daughter has told me it is her favorite thing in the whole world, riding bikes with her friends. She says I'd rather do it than go to Disneyworld!
I asked her why and she said it's the freedom.
There is a certain age, I'd say something like grades 3 to 7, where it is essential kids get some independence. I think back to the times in my childhood where I was given some freedom to wander in those ages, and those are some of the best memories of my life.
It's so important we don't rob our kids of this. Make it happen by any means possible.
@jannie197932@TheTSDaily Are you getting it as a notification? If so, if you long press on the notification, a thing will pop up saying ‘see less often’. You can select that.
@curioussearche1@MrsCMFrancis I mean it’s not a forever thing. Waking up multiple times in the middle of the night is gonna be terrible for you anyway, while Not waking up would be even worse - for the parent and the baby. Sometimes you do whatever you can to cope through the awfulness.
People will try to tell you Taylor is just a regular pop girlie but here’s a bunch of people single a 16 year old non single in the streets of New York after a Knicks win
@Lovandfear I couldn’t quite look her in the eye but I smiled reassuringly (or so I hoped). She looked doubtful but she wanted to believe me. That much I knew. We stood there a long moment, silence stretching into eternity, while she processed what I’d just told her.
