Sad to say weโve got two tickets available for tomorrow - still going ourselves, but our friends have had to drop out! Weโd really like someone to take them off our hands and not go to waste! #bigweekend
โMoving is good for our mental health. So whatโs stopping us?โ
I am sectioned under the Mental Health Act. I canโt leave the ward unaccompanied. Muting #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek for my own sanity, because the public conversation on mental health keeps excluding mental illness
I have 2 spare tickets today due to friend dropouts, Block 31 Row 11 - FREE to anyone who wants them, can send over ASAP!

I enjoyed presenting some of my PhD data on the experiences of #MentalHealth nurses at an @NHSEngland webinar today. Grim content but important we're honest about how stressful and traumatising the role can be. The role absolutely requires a decent education. #MHDeservesBetter
One quarter of 16-24 year old females have a personality disorder. Soon we can all be all/disordered and we can all feel shame at our vulnerability rather than questioning the systems and society that label people like this.

โSometimes staff enter this work to meet their own needs and canโt acknowledge that they might be unable to manage their own emotional responses without a group mind and analytical thinkingโ. @SatbinderBhogal highlights the importance of owning your own shit #BIGSPD23
As there is no obvious space to include pronouns on the @theRCOT conference platform, I have added mine to the โabout meโ section of my profile.
Perhaps a space for people to include their pronouns (should they wish to) can be explored for next year?
In 21-22 13% of the mental health workforce left the NHS. 5% and one off payment will not stop the exodus of staff.
Unless we can make the conditions more tolerable people will keep leaving. I'll be talking about this here ๐๐๐
