@KatyDornbos This looks cool and engaging- How do you use this to learn about the electron? Reading the thread it seems like it’s not related to the mass but how the force of repulsion reduces the mass and that’s somewhat similar in principle to how the charge of electron was determined?

We’re investigating what makes water so special to see if it can be replaced in @inquiry_hub Search 4 Life unit. We’re curious about electrical properties so we tested charges with tape & balloons. In love w/these models & can’t wait 2 discover atoms & why the - charge moves! ❤️

Going backpacking or teaching science? Chemistry is investigating electromagnetic radiation (toasters, lightbulbs, UV pen!) and physical sci. is building calorimeters to determine calorie content of Fritos (great kindling)! Love it careers old and new collide! 🥾🧪👩‍🏫

@GoSunDevils my program coordinator verbally berated me about my GA , citing accomplishments on my resume & undercutting them by saying they pales in comparison 2 student teaching & graduate school. I’ve dealt w/ his type before & did it anyway, but others in my program weren’t so lucky.
