This is just one example of how digital spaces, gender norms on motherhood and the structuring of health systems increasingly determine who and how children are cared for.
To me, the most interesting part of this article is the ethics of the most famous oby-gyn adopting a patient's child. Especially, given that the mother has substance abuse issues and would have otherwise been unable to afford such a level of care.

Very exciting news. As of today, I will be shifting my contract to part-time and using the rest of my time travelling to Latin America.
I will of course be responding to emails and tinkering with articles, applications but will mostly be taking some time to see the world
Happy to be home after an exciting and informative week at @PolStudiesAssoc at my home from home @UniStrathclyde. Thank you to all the wonderful people I met, and all of those who rated my paper on 'the gendered politics of humanitarian crisis' five stars
