@jen_keesmaat These are the garter snakes in Narcisse, Manitoba! You can go visit in the spring (kids love it!) as they're harmless to humans. The snakes are also pictured on UHaul trucks to represent Manitoba (I can think of many other things to represent MB but snakes are certainly unique!)
I am by no means an expert on this, but grateful I had the opportunity to write a directed research paper on the topic of what it means to live in a 'family' (supervised by @BrendaCossman - who is an expert!)
Our conception of 'family' is in many ways a legal construct - and a limiting one at that. There are many positive impacts to be had from expanding the definition of family - housing affordability is a huge one!
Our limited conception of what constitutes a family has resulted in strange design and housing outcomes. This, too, plays a significant role in the housing affordability crisis.
Had so much fun as a student coach for the @UTLaw@WalshMoot team! So proud of our mooters for all of their hard work, and very grateful for the expert mentorship we received from @McCarthyHansen!
"It’s a tricky balancing act to warn the waiter without having your table’s discussion switch entirely to food allergies. Admittedly, it’s also a balancing act that I haven’t completely mastered," writes @hannahlank.

"Food allergy bullying is never funny. It’s not funny when someone waves a peanut butter sandwich in your face or puts cheese down your shirt. It’s also not funny when people share #foodallergy 'jokes' online," writes @hannahlank. https://t.co/XlzfGwwicH

"I managed to 'forget' about my #foodallergies during lockdown to a large extent. After all, food allergies are only remarkable when other people can and do eat what you can’t."

@se_beddoe@UTLaw We learned so much from you and everyone at MHC, from factum writing to oral submissions! Thank you again for your time and devotion to our team. Not only was this a great learning experience, but it was a lot of fun! ☺️
Very proud of my @UTLaw team, who won Top Team at the @WalshMoot! It was an honour to win second best oralist alongside my partner, best oralist Florian Nagy. I'll miss practicing with these wonderful people and I'm so grateful for everything I've learned from this experience!
