@PageTopsy@BloomsburyEd This book is so pertinent and relevant at a time when Oracy is rightfully reclaiming its crown in the curriculum. Crammed with brilliant and nuanced activities with clear rationales. Every teacher should read this deeply practical guide. Keir Starmer needs this to shape policy.
I'm doing a giveaway of three copies of my new book! Oracy: 100 Ideas for Primary Teachers. Like, follow and retweet to enter. Winners will be selected at random this Friday 19th July 8pm UK time. https://t.co/EsRdVBqGFX @BloomsburyEd
"Most of the excuses I made...
-not enough time
-not enough money
-not enough knowledge
-not the right connections
...were just ways to avoid the real bottleneck: Not enough courage.
There was always a small step I could have taken—if I had the guts to take it."

A favourite reflection from a 9 yo girl on #p4c. Said it’s important because it makes her think and she’ll be too busy to think when she gets older, so she needs to do lots now. I asked when ‘older’ is and she said ‘15’. Speaks volumes. #philosophyforchildren@MichaelRosenYes
@C_Hendrick@EducEndowFoundn If 35 of the 75 schools were not doing P4C then they were not researching the impact of P4C - as 47% were not doing it. It would be interesting to know if there was an effect from the 54% that were doing it.
