@Nike now that you've stopped shipping to New Zealand from your online store, it's impossible to buy pegasus running shoes in a wide fit here. Noone stocks them, including your retail stores. ๐
@VivBeckForMayor Individual homes with special character features can still be protected, and the consenting process and bylaws can be used to ensure new developments maintain the look and feel. Opposing these changes during a housing crises is not helping the people living in garages.
@pkarthikr@timheuer As someone who built the UI of the old Expenses windows app (it started as a Dynamics AX demo for Windows 8 that can also be used IRL) I can assure you that making it hard was not a design brief. We pushed the boundaries on the new metro design language.
@peterbayley@peterjogriffin@MorganGodfery Refer to the war on drugs as a long term study of the effectiveness of imposing ever harsher control on people who don't see the direct benefit of those controls.
@girlgerms It makes me wonder how the people on our team experience that. I suspect they don't share your need to get "pretty", but then we don't meet with customers all that much. Does that make a difference for you, or are there other factors?
@MartinDoms I find myself drawn to fill up any extra time at the end of the meeting with chitchat - I've been on a remote team for a long time now, and our opportunities to just talk about stuff are limited. I'm sure some will disagree.
@ryancrawcour@ElleBee54@stevens_phil I've decided that I've never been concerned about the death rate of flu, so my minimum rate for concern about deaths amongst vaccinated people and children should also be 500. So no im not glad, I'm just not getting upset about it anymore. Life's too short. I'm moving on.
@ElleBee54@ryancrawcour@stevens_phil Lockdown only gets less effective over time. I think that time where it would no longer be possible to get to 0 had arrived and the government recognised it as such. Better to keep public on side with slow transition than risk proliferation of protests. I'm glad we're moving on.
@stufox The important number now is how many ICU beds are still available? The other numbers are just part of life going forward. Like the number of people with colds, RSV or herpes. Time to move on.
@ryancrawcour @kuaTihau @redboltsnz No you get a variable interest overdraft and pay it off over the time you expect to have the car. For some it might be 5 years or less. For others I suppose it might be 40 years with topups for new batteries.
@ryancrawcour @kuaTihau @redboltsnz Well you don't have to pay it upfront - if you've got a mortgage you can pay it off over the life of the car with a reasonable interest rate instead of paying for fuel. But then interest makes it even more extra.
@dr_benomycin The area with the 8 has a concentration of state houses, and a large new social housing development. Hopefully selling some of those new units to a variety of people will help undo some of the concentration.
@kuaTihau @ryancrawcour@redboltsnz I'm really looking forward to it becoming a mainstream thing, Unfortunately it seems that some manufacturers have just added the rebates to their margin :( Also, it'd have to be a damn fine car for me to give up my convertible, which has many years of life left in it.
