28 April 1943 | A French Jewish girl, Michèle Levy, was born in Paris.

She arrived at #Auschwitz on 20 December 1943 in a transport of 850 Jews deported from Drancy. She was among 505 people murdered in a gas chamber after the selection.

Yossi and Margit Silverman, the parents of Shiri Bibas, were also murdered and their house set on fire.

On this day in 1925, a Czech Jewish boy was born. On the 30 Jun 1942 he was deported to Theresienstadt with his parents and brother (11) and on the 8 Oct 1942 to Treblinka extermination camp where they were most probably murdered on arrival. His name was Zdeněk Bauer

On this day in 1902, a Czech Jewish woman was born. On the 8 Sep 1942 she was deported to Theresienstadt and on the 22 Oct 1942 to Treblinka where she was most probably murdered on arrival. Neither her husband and son are on the victims list. Her name was Malvína Ungerová

On 27 April 1942, the first transport of 127 Polish women arrived in Auschwitz from prisons in Cracow and Tarnów. Among them was Helena Panek (b. 1922, no. 6892), who recalled the moment of transport as follows:

"On 27 April, at about 3 a.m., about sixty female prisoners were led out of the Tarnów prison and we were rushed under a strong escort of gendarmes to the train station, where we were driven into a prison wagon. It was later joined to another train. Around nine o'clock, escorted by gendarmes, we set off into the unknown. The guards repeatedly asked us where we were going and we remained silent. We reached Cracow around noon, and somewhere on a sidetrack the train stopped, waiting to join another train. Finally, we were on our way, but not for long, and again we stopped. It turned out that this was the border between the Generalgouvernement and the Reich. Again we stopped at a large station. Through a barred window, we could read the name of the town on the station building: Auschwitz. We already know that it is Oświęcim. We get on a siding. We are not allowed to go near the window. Finally, the train stopped. It was 6 o'clock in the evening.

We could hear wild screams from the outside. The door of our carriage opens. Someone from outside shouts in German, everyone get out! - Hurry up, you damned bandits. The guards hit us on the back with rifle butts. We all rush together to one exit. The shouting made our heads spin. One by one, we jump from the wagon straight into the screaming SS women and SS men who form a line around the wagon. Amidst the shouting of the Germans and the barking of trained wolfhounds, they line us up and lead us into the camp. After passing through a gate, they stopped us in front of some building, counted a few times, and after a short stop, they directed us in rows to a bathhouse, where ice-cold water was waiting for us. There they take our things, our clothes, and after the bath, they give us striped summer uniforms. And dirty grey underwear. And on our feet, wooden Dutch clogs, a few sizes too big. We were also given numbers written on a white piece of cloth, which had to be sewn to the dress.

Late in the evening, we were led into Block 8, into a very large hall, where mattresses with some kind of chaff or straw lay on the floor. Each received a thin blanket. The next day, already in our camp clothes, we did not recognise one another. During the first roll call, the Germans asked us who could speak German. Standing at the first roll call, we observed young female prisoners who had been transported to the camp earlier. As it turned out, they were Jewish women from Slovakia. They were strangely dressed, because they wore prisoners of war uniforms, with shaved hair and very skinny. The sight of them shocked us, and for many it was a reason to have a mental breakdown.

Terrified by the sight, we talked with Marysia Fleckowa and Stefcia Łącka about what was waiting for us, how long we could live in such conditions and for what such an injustice had happened to us. After the morning roll call, we were taken to the men's camp for photography. The photographing of prisoners took place in the photographic studio of the camp Gestapo reconnaissance service, which was located in Block 26. We were not tattooed right away. We had numbers sewn onto our striped uniforms. On the third day, everyday camp life began: getting up at dawn, roll call, then working beyond our strength combined with beatings and mistreatment."

Helena Panek survived the war. She passed away in 2020.

Vorige week groot parlementair debat over #Libanon. Dit was mijn inbreng:

📽 "Minister Prévot, allereerst raad ik u aan om nooit meer in de weg te gaan lopen als de grote jongens moorddadige jihadisten zijn aan het elimineren.

Dit gezegd zijnde, Hezbollah betekent 'Partij van Allah'. Het is een moorddadige jihadistische organisatie en het sterkste terreurleger op aarde.

Hezbollah wordt gefinancierd, getraind en bewapend door de Islamitische Republiek in Iran, die op dit moment alweer onschuldige Iraniërs is aan het executeren.

Hezbollah is de lange arm van Teheran, die Libanon bezet en als terreurbasis gebruikt, misbruikt. De meeste Libanezen, zeker degenen die niet sjiitisch zijn, willen Hezbollah weg. Hezbollah staat immers ook voor de weerzinwekkende sharia.

Voorheen - wie herinnert het zich nog - was Libanon overwegend christelijk, het Zwitserland van het Midden-Oosten. Hezbollah heeft Libanon echter steeds meer geïslamiseerd.

Hezbollah is antisemitisch en heeft als heilig islamitisch doel de vernietiging van Israël en uiteindelijk ook de vernietiging van het Westen.

Hezbollah in Libanon is dus zoals Hamas in Gaza. Hezbollah graaft en boort terreurtunnels, gebruikt menselijke schilden en vormt scholen, ziekenhuizen en andere gebouwen om tot wapenopslagplaats of raketlanceerplatform.

Hezbollah vuurde duizenden raketten af op onschuldige burgers in Israël en plande een gelijkaardige genocidale massaslachting als die van 7 oktober 2023.

Zonder geavanceerd rakettenschild en schuilkelders had Hezbollah in Israël reeds tienduizenden onschuldige doden en gewonden gemaakt. Door Hezbollah kunnen Israëlische én Libanese burgers geen normaal leven leiden.

Hezbollah is ook hier, niemand zegt dat hier, op ons grondgebied aanwezig. En voor wat? Voor criminele en jihadistische activiteiten.

Om maar te zeggen, dames en heren, minister: de wereld zal een veel betere plek zijn als Hezbollah eindelijk compleet is geëlimineerd." 👇🏻

זהו סיפורו של סמ"ר נועם בטאן ז"ל.
נועם היה אדם בעל לב פתוח ושמחת חיים טבעית, עם חיוך שמאיר כל מקום ויכולת נדירה לראות ולהכיל אחרים. הוא שילב רגישות ואכפתיות עם נחישות, אומץ ותחושת שליחות עמוקה, ופעל בצניעות ומתוך ערכי נתינה ואהבת הארץ. נועם אהב אנשים, חיבר בין לבבות, וידע להביא אור גם לרגעים מורכבים.
הוא התגייס ב-15 באוגוסט 2022, נחוש להפוך את שירותו למשמעותי. כבר מהטירונות בלט באחריות ובשאיפה למצוינות. למרות שלא התקבל ליחידה שאליה שאף, ראה בכך הזדמנות, ובסיירת גבעתי מצא בית. חבריו מספרים שהיה גורם מחבר ומרגיע, במיוחד בשעות הקשות.
עם פרוץ המלחמה, כבר ב-7 באוקטובר, נועם וחבריו נשלחו ללחימה בדרום.
באותו יום כתב לאחיו חגי:
“אם קורה לי משהו תמסור לכל מי שאני מכיר שאין שמח ממני על זה שאני פה כרגע מגן על המדינה שאני כל כך אוהב”.
בהמשך המלחמה פעלו גם ברצועת עזה לאורך תקופה ממושכת. נועם התנדב למשימות מורכבות ומסוכנות, ביצע אותן באומץ ובמקצועיות, ובזכות אישיותו הבוגרת והאמון שזכה לו נבחר לתפקיד סמל מחלקה. גם בלב המערכה שידר שקט וביטחון, ושמר על רוח טובה.
בשבת ה-18.5.24, במהלך פעילות ברפיח, נפל נועם יחד עם חברו סמ״ר נחמן מאיר חיים וקנין, לאחר שמטען הופעל על הכוח.
נועם היה בן 20 בנופלו.
היום לפי התאריך העברי אנחנו מציינים שנתיים לנפילתו.
