A semi-truck driver miraculously walked away from this crash with only minor injuries.

Shocking video shows a load of massive wooden planks that crashed through the cab during a hard stop in Georgia — piercing a massive portion of the driver's side of the windshield, leaving behind a scene that looks almost impossible to survive.

Authorities say the load shifted forward when the driver slammed on the brakes. Officials say the driver was remarkably only hurt slightly.

In the midst of the devastating Australian bushfires, a woman did not hesitate to rush into the sea of flames to save a little koala who was severely burned. The koala was crying out in agony, its body scorched, its fur blackened, struggling step by step along a road surrounded by fire.

Without a moment’s hesitation, she gently took off her shirt, carefully wrapped the koala, and tenderly poured water over its burns to ease the pain. Then she quickly rushed it to the Port Macquarie Koala Hospital.

A 24-year-old knife-wielding criminal named Gregory McCalium thought he'd found an easy mark when he broke into the home of 73-year-old Frank Corti. What he didn't know: Corti is a retired British Army soldier, former boxer, and hand-to-hand combat instructor who wasn't about to become a victim in his own home.

When McCalium came at him with a six-inch knife, Corti did what real men do — he fought back. A sharp right hook and a quick jab sent the a*tacker to the ground, where Corti held him until police arrived.

The judge took one look at the injuries and told McCalium he "got what he deserved." Four and a half years in prison. That's justice.

This is what happens when criminals pick the wrong target. Frank Corti is a reminder that there are still Americans and people around the world who won't be pushed around, who won't surrender their homes or their safety to thugs. He stood his ground, and he won.
