the entire evermore album is about the choice of leaving vs staying, walking backwards vs forward, and how the passing of time affects those decisions. Babylon fits right there.

idk if people still painted my ex as a saint and falsely credited him for my work while he’s still pulling shit trying to get my attention i would happily whack him again
About a year ago, you guys did a truly unfathomable thing. Something that completely blew my mind… You gave The Life of a Showgirl the biggest first week for an album in history. I took a trip to Sweden to celebrate with Max and Shellback, my two collaborators on this album. Really we just wanted to reflect and take in how grateful we were for the moment we were in, but there was a studio there and we did what we do when we feel anything at all: We wrote more songs. I hope you love them, because they were born out of pure gratitude for your exuberance for and celebration of the album we made. The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore including four new songs is out on Friday and available to pre-order and save now at https://t.co/bWaNOQ6OmT ❤️🔥

So your telling me that Meghan joins a school WhatsApp group for Archie and Lilibet, and a mother in that group takes a screenshot and sells her number to a UK tabloid.
How cash poor are the UKs wealthy that you are selling someone's phone number to The Sun?
Meghan was in her children’s class groups in the US. She hosted her kids’ friends at her home. She hosted and attended events with parents from her children’s school. Did you ever hear about it? No! Do you know why? Decency. Propriety.
This is so sick.
So, one of the mothers from the WhatsApp chat for parents sold Meghan's message, including her phone number, to The Sun.
She can't trust anyone.
In Montecito, none of this ever happened, and that says a lot; it tells you a lot. You can trust the parents in Montecito, but you can't trust the parents in the Cotswolds.
Anyway, I'm extremely happy that the Prince Archie and Princess Lili aren't going to that school anymore.
They were supposed to sing a cute little song. Instead, Taylor Swift started making fun of the show.
Taylor Swift and Zac Efron walked out with guitars, and Zac joked that he had only just learned how to play. Taylor said she had taught him a few chords and they started playing “Pumped Up Kicks.”
At first, it looked like a normal talk-show bit. They were laughing, trying to remember the chords and messing around with the lyrics.
Then Taylor asked if they could change the words.
That's when the song became something else.
Instead of singing the original lyrics, they started joking about what it was like to be a guest on the show. Taylor sang about always being asked who she was dating and being put into awkward situations. She even brought up the time she thought there was a hidden camera in the bathroom and got so startled that she nearly fell.
The funny part is that they weren't angry about any of it. They just turned it into a song.
And honestly, that's probably why it worked so well. Zac wasn't trying to look like a great guitarist, and Taylor wasn't trying to give some perfect performance. They laughed when they forgot a chord, looked at each other when they weren't sure what came next, and just kept going.
It felt like two people making something up right there.
But underneath the joke, there was a real point. Talk shows often put celebrities in situations where they are expected to laugh, play along and answer whatever comes their way. That's part of the job, but sometimes the joke can get uncomfortable.
Taylor found a pretty clever way to push back without turning the whole thing into a confrontation.
She just sang about it.
That's what makes the clip worth watching again. Not because the guitar playing is amazing or because it's some great musical performance. It's because, for a few minutes, the guests stopped playing the roles the show expected them to play.
They were still joking.
They were just joking on their own terms.
I don’t think we needed to see the clip again of Sol talking about being in a dark place since her father’s passing in the middle of everyone ganging up against her. Idk. I felt for Sol. This felt a little dark and uncomfortable to watch. #LoveIslandUSA#LoveIslandUSA8
I think it’s insane they aired a moment of her being vulnerable in the middle of her being jumped but didn’t run the clip about her being pied, especially since they made it such a big deal
“that album [folklore] is really all about loneliness, if you delve into certain lyrics on songs like peace, or hoax, or exile it's really about feeling so completely alone” ☹️
