Imagine being able to see solutions to problems that are obvious to you, but stupid people refuse to even try to understand them in favor of ideas which will make things worse, not just for themselves, but the society you live in.
Those people outnumber you nearly fifty to one.
You know how PepsiCo lowered the price of Lays products after RFK Jr. decided you can't use SNAP to buy them? The prices weren't high because it just costs so much to slice up and fry a potato. It was because they didn't care whether or not you could afford it because the people eating them were those getting it paid for by your tax dollars. When that was no longer a viable business model, they had to start pricing competitively again. You know, the way a free market is supposed to work.
The same logic applies to healthcare and universities. These corporations get their money from the government via people who are subsidized by the government. That's why college tuition has increased at three times the rate of inflation since the 1970s, and prescription drugs somehow cost less when you don't use insurance to pay for them (even private insurers get money from the government).
If you've ever wondered why TVs are among the only things that have gotten cheaper over the past ten years, that's why. The government doesn't buy TVs for people, so TV manufacturers actually have to care if consumers can afford them and must compete with each other on price.
So what will happen when everyone loses their jobs to AI and no one has any money? Don't worry, Big Daddy Government will give them your tax dollars. And when those run out, they'll just print money and devalue what little you still have. But as far as they're concerned, that's your problem.
Once you hit about a 20-point IQ gap, communication starts to completely break down.
It's not that the lower IQ person is "stupid" (although that can often be the case) or the higher one is arrogant, it's that you're literally operating on different systems.
A 20 point difference (roughly 1.3 standard deviations) means:
Vocabulary and abstraction levels diverge sharply. What feels like crystal clear logic to one side sounds like vague, pretentious word salad to the other. Jokes land flat. Metaphors get taken literally. Complex cause and effect chains get simplified into "this good, that bad."
Different time horizons and pattern recognition. One person thinks in months or years and sees systems, the other is locked into days or immediate rewards. Trying to explain second order effects feels like speaking another language.
Also, processing speed and working memory gaps. The higher IQ person is already three steps ahead, getting impatient. The lower IQ person feels talked down to or overwhelmed.
Both walk away frustrated.
Both have wasted each others time.
The official DHS account was revealed to have been created in Israel.
I saw a screenshot of this and assumed it was a joke, but apparently it's real and confirmed by Grok.

"My dearest Petunia... it's been 15 days since the Federal Government shut down. I can discern no notable difference in my life, other than the swelling feeling of freedom in my breast..."
@Asmongold Government is MUCH worse than any corporation or you don’t understand government.
Government is simply the most powerful corporation and with a monopoly on violence.
I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore.
This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination.
Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it.
@XNews Great news to hear. Anyone attempting to penalize workers, for non work-related content here on X, will end up being subjected to lawsuits, appeals, settlements.
Justice has prevailed! X has successfully fought for its user's right to free speech. The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign has rescinded its disciplinary action against Juan David Campolargo, dropping all charges and closing the case.
Mr. Campolargo was threatened with dismissal from his on-campus job and eviction from student housing by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign based on charges that his X posts about free food on campus breached the Student Code of Conduct. Additionally, he was accused of taking food that the catering staff was discarding (with their permission) at one event.
When we learned Mr. Campolargo had been disciplined due to his X posts, we intervened to support him. If you can be punished for posting about free food, what can't you be punished for? X hired the Schaerr Jaffe law firm, at no cost to Mr. Campolargo, to submit an appeal to defend his First Amendment right to free speech, which the University had violated. The University first resisted and informed Mr. Campolargo that he was not allowed to be represented by a lawyer in their disciplinary proceedings.
Mr. Campolargo has now prevailed in his appeal and is free to resume posting on his X account and can continue his on-campus job and student housing without any issues.
We must always stand firm in the face of threats and intimidation to protect our right to free speech-- it's the cornerstone of democracy and a fundamental human right.
